Suarez 48 happened only because of Messi injury and since he was a long way out for the top scorer race he sacrificed it for Suarez so in normal times he wouldn't have that many goals.

My admiration and respect for Lewandowski are massive. I even like him more as a professional. He might be the better player right now, but let's be honest: Prime Suarez is UNDOUBTEDLY better than prime Lewandowski.
Let alone surpassing his current unbelievable goal tally and also more than doubling his assists in 15/16 by 59 goals and 24 assists, he had something Lewa has never had. That sheer capacity to create goals out of nowhere.
Lewandowski is served by the talents one of the best teams in Bayern Munich's history with world-class players in every position. What Suarez has done for Liverpool by playing with that bang average overall squad is something Lewandowski can NEVER ever do.
Change my idea: If you put Lewa into that Liverpool team (13/14), he couldn't do half of what Suarez has done. Period.
EXTRA: Suarez +250 (and counting) assists to his name, which is more than ALL most legendary midfielders past-2000 era. Not alone he outscored the most of the legendary strikers in history, he assisted MORE than the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Özil, Fabregas, David Silva, Di Maria, De Bruyne, etc.
Complete strikers are hard to come by, but ones like Suarez are the rarest.

@Egoi Orobio Suarez did those numbers back in Liverpool by himself and he carried a team that wasn't meant to be more than 6th to near winning a league title. Aside from that, he was better in almost everything in his prime than Lewandowski (not counting headers).

Coming from a Chelsea fan since 1995 ... this is individually probably the greatest season by any player. Thierry Henry comes a close second for his 03/04 season. Henry's overall game play was probably more devastating.

Really? He wanted to leave and we promised him to stay for a season, and Barca or Real will come in for him. Once one did, and he bit Chellini in the world cup, we had no leg room to sell him for his true value. We wanted Sanchez to replace him, but the club didn't act quick enough.

EPL had many many great legends but none had a peak season like this Suarez. He was beyond magical. El Pistolero is easily one of the greatest footballers ever! One of a kind and so underrated imo. Always shined in every team he played.

I have been a die hard english league since 95...i have witness many great strikers over the years like henry,van persie,torres etc but i have never seen such a phenomenal striker like suarez.it was a joy to watch him play..for me the best player to describe a cf..dude rarely miss target and always gave his all on the pitch..no striker in the epl come close to him..he was on legend level.simply outsanding!

42 year fan of football. NEVER have I seen someone go on an absolute RAMPAGE like this. Mind you, he missed a good bit of matches in the beginning of the season, too. The goals he scored were from EVERYWHERE. Left foot, right foot, volleys, headers, tap in's, long distance, free kicks, penalties. Most of them were magical, too.
You can't name another player who was on fire like this guy was in that season.
Obviously, it was just the beginning as he played a part in the most DEVASTATING front 3 in the history of the sport. He was so good he made Neymar look like a 3rd wheel while he was second to the greatest player to have ever played the game. I have never seen 3 player (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) boss a match like they did, and I'm not even close to being a Barca fan.

Had he stuck around and played under Klopp, Liverpool would've won more trophies. In terms of being able to create something out of nothing and do the unexpected, he was head and shoulders above any player we've had since. He was Salah, Firmino and Mane rolled in one + the ability to take free kicks. Best player we've had and for my money the best no. 9 of his generation.

Been following Liverpool since 1994. And the likes of Fowler, Macca, Owen, Torres, Salah, Mane, and for several years Gerrard (although a midfielder), all had world class seasons. But Suarez that season was on par was the ultimate. A whirlwind season encapsulated by his performances that deserved a league title, but sure, we maybe don't get Klopp in that case. So who knows how things pan out.
