It was in 2012 when I finally got a taste of owning a smartphone. I started with a lowly Alcatel unit that came free with a plan. Since then, I swore by Android, and the freedom and customization it provides.
10 years and 5 phones later, with the Pixel 2 XL serving 4 awesome years of it, it was finally time to choose a successor. I was really hoping it would be the Pixel 6, I really was. But weighing it all out, the pros and cons, I saw that I would gain more than I would lose by making, at last, the switch to Apple.
Even now, nothing beats Pixel--even my 2 XL--in taking photos. Believe me when I say that leaving that behind is such a painful loss. But my smartphone cannot be just a camera.
Yes, it's the ecosystem, with me being a Mac user for as long as I was an Android user. But it's also longevity, consistency, and reliability. Boring traits for sure, but they are traits that justify the premium. God willing, this iPhone should serve me for at least 5 years, ideally even more.
I really wished Google got it together well enough for me to stay for another 5 years. Sigh.

Not really in my opinion, to me there should be an intro to every event. You can skip it anyway unless you’re watching live which I highly doubt most people will. Personally I can never imagine apple going like “welcome to our new event, today we will be announcing new iPhone 14 blah blah blah”. Too unprofessional
idk why but unboxing vids have changed a lot in the recent decades. Ppl, like me, seems to prefer silent and crispy sounding unboxing-no talking. So dope.

But… why even use a screen protector these days? They’re just solid on their own.

I had turn from Nokia to iPhone, from N97 to iPhone 4+, I bought my iPhone 13 Pro on last February 25, after 5 years on iPhone X.
I've seen a lot of unboxing video's but this one has put a smile on my face :-) Great and original approach.

This is literally the exact same thing that happened to me. I had been a Samsung user for 10 years and finally bit the bullet and switched over to iPhone 13 Pro when it was released, got myself an Apple Watch Series 7 Nike Edition, as well as AirPods Pro. It's been a couple months and I've been loving the change so far, iOS is just so much fluid all around. No regrets for me.
I missed android when I switched and still do.
But if Android and ios seem to be converging in design philosophy, iphone might be better due to the chipset.

I'm having the same dilemma on switching from pixel to iphone due to the perks of the pixel (especially the unlimited google photo storage) but when it comes ecosystem and longevity, no one beats apple.
Ya same happened with me, I already had an iPhone and iPad but I was planning to get S22 Ultra and galaxy watch with free galaxy buds but then just because of software longevity I dropped the idea of switching to android and instead I bought watch series 7 and AirPods Pro.
unlimited google photo storage? Sorry not anymore, google reneged on that a few months ago. Which was very annoying considering that was a huge reason I switched to pixel.
@@jialx it is still unlimited for pixel phones.. but not the original size.. I have my pixel 4a and its where I used to upload all my photos (free)..

Very satisfying video. I loved my Pixel 2 and quite liked my Pixel 5 but Google’s inability to provide a decent software experience has seen me switch back to iPhone after 11 years as an Android user. After a rough couple of days getting used to iOS I am pleased with the move. I may go back to Android some day. But their current hardware lineup and software glitches leave a lot to improve upon.
Pixel is just one brand of Android phone.

I'm surprised, quite frankly. All your campaigning in the office for Android before was a big factor when I switched over from my old iPhone 6 and the company 5C workphone that was passed on to me from Accounts to the string of Samsungs I've used / currently still am using. :))

Hahaha thanks man! But the Samsung Galaxy S line lately has been really, really good. For one, Samsung promises more OS updates now than Google does for their Pixel haha
@@giosanpedro Yeah I used to be a hardcore android user, mostly from Samsung but these few years there are so many hardware and software glitches that I need to work around. I will be switching to iPhone in the next 2 years. Sometimes all you need is something different.
