    That lake is called Neshaminy Resovoir or as we called it back in the day "Hidden lake". You can get access to off of 532. havent been there in years but I believe it is about 1/4 mile before Linton Hill Road going towards washington crossing. Look for metal gates and a space to park off the left coming from newtown.. It is a trek though after you park your car near the metal gates but as I knew it over 15 years ago it is a 1/2 mile walk and the lake has catfish, large/small mouth and others. Back in the day a great fishing spot, just not sure how it is now.

      @SebastianDavidPB 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mabey Fishing Trio the water there must be stained with redbull or something, around here even yellow perch are lethargic as hell, sometimes they swallow the hook and just lay there without putting up any fight, almost the same with sunfishes/pumpkinseeds a 3 inch sprint after the hook is set and they get tired around here lol not to mention around my place they're picky as hell, they won't bite lures, they even refuse canned pet food and corn, only big chunks of night crawlers seemed to work and the same goes for bullheads

      Indeed, High Hook Fishing. Though, even with a loose drag, enough force against the hook will give you a solid hookset. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

    Those green sunnies are stunted because there's no fishing pressure. Ya need to keep them smaller ones. Not enough fishing can be just as bad as too much.

    if your ever in north jersey fishing we should meet up and have you ever fished silver lake NJ?

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Branman fishing and hockey That sounds like a great idea. I have been to a couple Silver Lake in NJ. Which county is the one you are referring to? Tight lines!

  • @seanmagee1559
    @seanmagee1559 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you find a new pond that isn't really known what's the best way to know weather there's life in it

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sean Magee The first thing that you should do is get its name. Google it and go to different local fishing forums and check if other people have fished there before. If the Pond is nameless, it's a little bit harder. You can still do your research by county or township, but information on it will definitely be harder to find. Ultimately, the best way of knowing it is to personally go down there. Spend some time on exploration... Tight lines, Sean!

    • @anarkistogre
      @anarkistogre 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Sean Magee I usually try a bib of chumming of sorts. I toss some bugs or maybe a wee bit of bread or shrimp into the water and see if there's any reaction.

  • @sandifranks201

    what do you mean like what country is the silver lake I am talking about is in
    North New Jersey

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Branman fishing and hockey No, no. I meant the "County." For example, there is a Silver Lake in Clementon, NJ. That is clearly not the same Silver Lake that you are referring to. So, which county would your Silver Lake be in?

    • @sandifranks201
      @sandifranks201 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did those fish get into the small man-made ponds if there is no inlet or outlet?

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tcop30 My hypothesis is that they were probably stocked there, once upon a time. Sometimes the local county stocks their waters with Largemouth Bass, Mosquitofish, Mummichogs, or Green Sunfish for mosquito/insect population control. That is probably how they got in there. Tight lines, tcop30!

  • @mikemosier4586
    @mikemosier4586 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video! What was that yellow bait you were using at the first pond? And what was the bait you had on a bobber in. That river? It what grey with a weighted jighead

    • @davejeon02
      @davejeon02 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Mike Mosier Yellow lure at the first pond was a Trout Magnet... It's a split tail grub. Can't get a good look at the lure under the float in the creek... although I can definitely tell he's using the trout magnet slider/darter-style jighead. Probably using that small shiner/minnow style imitation he uses often for microfishing. Berkley Gulp makes a good one just called the 'Minnow' which you can get in 1" and 2" which seems to be in the same size range he's using.

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mike Mosier David Jeon was on the spot, Mike. The first bait is a golden Trout Magnet and the second one was a "Gulp! Alive" minnow, 1", on a 1/64 oz. Trout magnet jighead a Colmar weighted float. I haven't been able to work too much on my fishing Blog recently; however, all data about setup can be found there. For example: extremephillyfishing.blogspot.com/2015/08/august-fishing-sessions-0812-fishing.html
      If you notice under the "SETUP" section, I used the same lures for micro-fishing in that post. Tight lines!

    • @davejeon02
      @davejeon02 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Extreme Philly Fishing Hey Leo, what color Gulp! Alive Minnow do you use? Also, have you gotten a chance to look into the Panfish Assassin Tiny Shad that I recommended a while back at all?

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +David Jeon I tend to use the "Emerald Shiner" color. As for the Panfish Assassin Tiny Shad, I still have the one that you gave me at Kirkwood. Hah. On a jighead too! However, I haven't had many chances to use it, since I always go with the Gulp!. :)

    How do you tell when to set the hook to when they are just pecking at it?

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually I watch my line for that, ZGHIGH. If the line starts to get straight after the bite, I know for sure that the fish took it and has it in its mouth. Of course the hook up ratio is still not 100% at that point; however, you will have higher chances when that kind of stuff happens. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

      +lovemyreptiles Heh. I appreciate the sociological perspective there. I was actually born and raised in Brazil, and Brazil is as much of a "Salad Bowl/Melting Pot" as the USA. In other words, we also have all types of different cultures down there, as well as different types of food. Thanks for watching and following the Channel!
      I am actually an Asian-Brazilian and English is my fourth language, so I'm sure that you will get to enjoy my accent on my videos. :) And, of course, Multi-Species ON! Heh. Tight lines!

      +Danny Squirrel Absolutely, Danny. A positive side of walking is that I get to exercise. Hah. I complain about it, but it is good losing some calories. :) I am getting a car this year, though. Tight lines and fish on!

      +danny mc tigue That's good, man! In this video, as you saw, the little Yellow Bullhead struck me really fast while I was trying to show it to you guys. The video doesn't do justice to the cut -- it was a pretty inclined deep cut. My finger hurt for the rest of the day and it's still hurting nowadays. Sigh...

      +Jimmy Vang Not at the moment. At the moment, I either hike a ride with someone else or I walk. I plan on getting a car this year, so we will see. Tight lines, Jimmy!
