I am actually getting an extra $200 for disaster snap. My regular benefits are $44. I really hope they DO NOT let this expire. It's the only way I'm eating right now. I lost my car and can't get to the food banks, so I would really be screwed.

I’m on disability. I applied for SNAP benefits and was denied! I NEVER have enough money for the food I need! I live alone and take total care of myself. My eye glasses are 7 years old because I can’t afford new ones. I have a cataract on one eye. My teeth are rotting out of my head. I’m ashamed to go anywhere because I don’t want people to see them! I can’t afford to go to the dentist. The government doesn’t care about me at all!!! I have 59 cents to my name!! I’m so tired of seeing everyone else get help, but NOT the rest of us that need it so bad!!! Don’t get me wrong….. I’m happy for everyone that gets help, but angry that myself and everyone like me, totally get ignored!!! I didn’t choose to be disabled!!! I worked as an RN for 30 years taking care of others. Now, I can’t take care of myself!!! I’m ashamed of our government!! Everyone of them should have to live on my income for just one month!! Their tune would change……QUICK!!!!

Same here. 20 a month is what my regular amount is, been getting the max of 250, then my stamps expired in March and i renewed them, and they wouldn't give me the 250 for March even though Arizona was still receiving the max allotment for March.
We all need extension extra Snap benefits. Everything is getting so expensive. I was at Walmart and small oranges were no longer 3/100 they were 82 cents EACH....we need them to keep sending the extra since all this inflation. Thank you Matt and Cory for keeping us posted.

Hi Matt & everyone! It's crazy that they aren't issuing the emergency max allotment of Snap benefits in every state, regardless of whether it's because of covid or the inflation!! My state opted out of issuing max allotment in June last year.. before the inflation started climbing so fast! I know some other states have since then, too. It's not right, especially for fixed income and people with children! It was devastating to lose the extra food stamps back when I did, it makes no sense to me that they can't make all states continue with the extra benefits , because the inflation is related to the darn pandemic stuff! Not to mention, China is seeing the biggest ever blast of cases covid right now! You know it's just a matter of time before we feel it too! There's already a rise in cases starting here AGAIN! I'm still praying that the people who are struggling get the help they need and deserve!! 🙏🙏🙏 I hope you all have a very blessed day! 🙏💜🤗

Yea the extra on EBT snap is they been giving u the max amount for your family size like for a single person that is 250 dollars my normal amount on snap EBT is 20 dollars that not very much for a month and is really notting with cost of food right now 20 dollars don't go far and I am handicap and low income so the 250 max been helping me out a lot so hope they pass the bill so i can keep getting the max of 250 dollars

in virginia if a single person getting snap..if you get $39 at the beginning of the month..then on the 16th of that month will get another $211 that totals up to the maximun allowancey $250 for a single person under emergency act

No one is reporting the 25% increase in Food Stamp recipients since Biden took office. There is a serious problem out there and it is going to get worse.
I got a post card couple weeks ago saying my food stamps will be going back to regular allotment which was $16 before Covid. I don’t know what I’m going to do after April 1st.

My wife passed away on January 1st 2022. It was covid that took her life. We used to get 427.00 a month. When she passed I now only get 211.00 as I am disabled. Not complaining as every little bit helps.
I think if a person is on disability or ssi or ssdi as their sole Income, they should qualify for SNAP benefits. My husband and i are both disabled our combined income is barely enough to pay our "low income based" rent, utilities, car Insurance, and prescription meds. We would only qualify for like $12/mo

Thank you Matt for your information I am what you do for us but the thing is they government don’t realize when we all got a pay raise for snap benefits did not go up very much so a lot of people are not even getting snap benefits anymore and that is really hurting a lot of the seniors and people that’s on disability. So the president needs to fix the problem with the amount that the food stamp office has to go buy for people to have food stamps because it is not fair a lot of people was getting food stamps and now they cannot even get their $20 worth and that is not fair to them after they have worked hard all their life four nickels and dimes
Thanks Matt for that information. I just wish they would send those of us in need cash relief. Expense goes up with this inflation. Cash pays the bills. At this point there are alot of people who are going to be homeless or living in tents. We're in truly sad times.
Thank you again Matt for all you do!!! I'm very curious, I've heard that next year our increase may be as much as 10% although I doubt it will be that high. Usually, whenever we get an increase on out checks, we get a decrease on our snap benefits for at least half of the check increase. If they actually did this, it would completely wipe out my snap allotment. After paying my bills, I have nothing left for groceries. I'm wondering if we would still qualify for the disaster snap. 🤔 I hope in the future, they just give us all the maximum snap benefit allowed and keep it that way.
No phat if they don't pass the bill u will only get what u were getting before covid or what they say your normal is after they cut it for are cola we got like me after we got are cola of 5.9% this year they cut my snap from 40 to now 20 dollars a month so if we don't get the max anymore all I will get is 20 dollars in snap and no disaster snap either on less a disaster happens president Biden said that no more of that until the next disaster happens where ever u live so just hope and pray they pass the bill because I know it going to be hard for me to eat and live on 20 dollars a month on snap with the price of food I will totally have to shop at dollar tree where stuff is 1.25 each food u get from there

Emergency snap isn't going to change your help on everything else. It will hurt and take away from you regular snap if you're check goes up but if you're other bills go up electric bill so on. Turn this into your local office so they can adjust your snap benefits

Helloo Matt! I still use my mask when outdoors and yet just tested positive for COVID. Mind you I’m fully vaccinated so frustrating. The shortness of breath and the coughing is just horrible. I get $50. Snap it only gets me 7-8 items. So for 2 weeks I'll be going on a diet. I'm in a HUD building and they won't take you to a food bank. And I'm almost completely blind so I can't wheel myself 12 miles to the food bank. I'm worried 😟
My foodstamps expired in March and i renewed them, and they didn't give me my pandemic stamps for March even though everyone else still got them. Been getting the extra stamps since the pandemic started. Been getting the max of 250, and now they dropped to 20 for the month. There's no way i can eat on 20 a month. I guess it's good i started my diet when i did.

Yea the extra on EBT snap is they been giving u the max amount for your family size like for a single person that is 250 dollars my normal amount on snap EBT is 20 dollars that not very much for a month and is really notting with cost of food right now 20 dollars don't go far and I am handicap and low income so the 250 max been helping me out a lot so hope they pass the bill so i can keep getting the max of 250 dollars

in virginia if a single person getting snap..if you get $39 at the beginning of the month..then on the 16th of that month will get another $211 that totals up to the maximun allowancey $250 for a single person under emergency act

You can't buy pet food on snap. But if there is a cash allotment on the card, you can purchase pet food with the cash.

No one is reporting the 25% increase in Food Stamp recipients since Biden took office. There is a serious problem out there and it is going to get worse.
I got a post card couple weeks ago saying my food stamps will be going back to regular allotment which was $16 before Covid. I don’t know what I’m going to do after April 1st.

My wife passed away on January 1st 2022. It was covid that took her life. We used to get 427.00 a month. When she passed I now only get 211.00 as I am disabled. Not complaining as every little bit helps.

I think if a person is on disability or ssi or ssdi as their sole Income, they should qualify for SNAP benefits. My husband and i are both disabled our combined income is barely enough to pay our "low income based" rent, utilities, car Insurance, and prescription meds. We would only qualify for like $12/mo

Thank you Matt for your information I am what you do for us but the thing is they government don’t realize when we all got a pay raise for snap benefits did not go up very much so a lot of people are not even getting snap benefits anymore and that is really hurting a lot of the seniors and people that’s on disability. So the president needs to fix the problem with the amount that the food stamp office has to go buy for people to have food stamps because it is not fair a lot of people was getting food stamps and now they cannot even get their $20 worth and that is not fair to them after they have worked hard all their life four nickels and dimes

Thanks Matt for that information. I just wish they would send those of us in need cash relief. Expense goes up with this inflation. Cash pays the bills. At this point there are alot of people who are going to be homeless or living in tents. We're in truly sad times.

Thank you again Matt for all you do!!! I'm very curious, I've heard that next year our increase may be as much as 10% although I doubt it will be that high. Usually, whenever we get an increase on out checks, we get a decrease on our snap benefits for at least half of the check increase. If they actually did this, it would completely wipe out my snap allotment. After paying my bills, I have nothing left for groceries. I'm wondering if we would still qualify for the disaster snap. 🤔 I hope in the future, they just give us all the maximum snap benefit allowed and keep it that way.
No phat if they don't pass the bill u will only get what u were getting before covid or what they say your normal is after they cut it for are cola we got like me after we got are cola of 5.9% this year they cut my snap from 40 to now 20 dollars a month so if we don't get the max anymore all I will get is 20 dollars in snap and no disaster snap either on less a disaster happens president Biden said that no more of that until the next disaster happens where ever u live so just hope and pray they pass the bill because I know it going to be hard for me to eat and live on 20 dollars a month on snap with the price of food I will totally have to shop at dollar tree where stuff is 1.25 each food u get from there

Right they give us more money 92 dollars on ssi took away from food 192 to 131 in stamps and housing gets 30% of that as well I live in San Francisco we are taxed to death
Emergency snap isn't going to change your help on everything else. It will hurt and take away from you regular snap if you're check goes up but if you're other bills go up electric bill so on. Turn this into your local office so they can adjust your snap benefits

Helloo Matt! I still use my mask when outdoors and yet just tested positive for COVID. Mind you I’m fully vaccinated so frustrating. The shortness of breath and the coughing is just horrible. I have body aches, congested, headache. 5 days with COVID and yet not getting better. Thank you so much for keeping us updated. COVID IS STILL HERE!! We all need relief payments! Inflation is just insane!

I get $50. Snap it only gets me 7-8 items. So for 2 weeks I'll be going on a diet. I'm in a HUD building and they won't take you to a food bank. And I'm almost completely blind so I can't wheel myself 12 miles to the food bank. I'm worried 😟

My foodstamps expired in March and i renewed them, and they didn't give me my pandemic stamps for March even though everyone else still got them. Been getting the extra stamps since the pandemic started. Been getting the max of 250, and now they dropped to 20 for the month. There's no way i can eat on 20 a month. I guess it's good i started my diet when i did.
Never mind so no extra snap and how do people supposed to buy food on what they get
