I have a feeling imperfection is going to be part of 2025 whether we like it or not. Happy you enjoy the train as well as the creating! Thanks so much for your company and comments.
I've tended to keep things relatively simple in these videos, as I'm trying not to make them too long! My more complex projects would run to several hours... and that's probably something I'll try to offer in proper classes soon. But yes, there is a beauty in simplicity, so I love sharing that too. Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
The tags are just beautiful, it's like looking into a winter forest. The sound of the train in the background is thought provoking ......where are people off to I wonder. I love hearing it.
Thank you so much... yes, I love it when it looks as though you could walk into the scene and keep going - much like the people on the train! (And they're probably off to Cichtice or Prachatice, or maybe even Prague if they change trains!)
I’ve barely slept since coming out of hospital on the 30th. I’m SO glad my favourite crafter/artist has a video. I feel better all ready! Wishing you all the best for 2025. Many thanks! ❤
Oh dear - so sorry to hear that you are lacking sleep... that's no way to recover if you've been in hospital. I'm glad these gentle woodlands helped you to rest and relax a little. Happy New Year to you too.
Happy New Year Alison. I hope that 2025 will be a superb year for you. I hope you have a 100% recovery very soon. I'm glad you feel better than a few says ago. Thank you for a wonderful video you inspire me every time I watch for gorgeous creations. Take care, xx❤❤😊😊🎉🎉
So happy you continue to find inspiration here - hopefully that will continue through 2025. Wishing you a very happy New Year too (and yes, I hear you loud and clear on the autocorrect frustrations!). Thanks so much for your company and comments on this creative journey.
The ethereal quality of these tags is perfect for a wintery forest theme. Thank you for all the stamping tips. I have anxiety when I try stamping, but every time I use the techniques you teach, it comes out wonderfully. I am so excited about Tag Time in 2025! Many blessings to you in this New Year! I hope you feel better soon. ❤
Oh, I'm so pleased that my tips are helping you gain confidence in your stamping... it's such a joy when it works out, isn't it? And sometimes the effect is even more interesting when it doesn't! Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment. Happy New Year to you too!
Beautiful tags, I love all the depth. I would love to walk in those woods as long as it is not cold. I don't do cold and it is supposed to freeze this week, so I will be out in my garden later covering plants. Living in Florida I have many plants that can't withstand the cold either. I hope you get rid of that cold soon. I wish you a happy and healthy new year. Thanks Alison.
You wouldn't like it here... we've had very heavy frosts the last few days (not clearing even during the daytime)! But blue skies and sunshine makes it all okay by me. Happy 2025 to you too!
Thanks for the stamping technique ideas! You truly do know your craft and I learn something new each and every time 😊 thanks kindly for sharing Alison. Happy New Year ❤️🇨🇦
@ That’s the goal with all your sets when I create with them. I love the attention you give to creating stamp sets with the ability to create dimension (front views, top views, sizes, etc).I am hoping you have some new sets (either flowers or quotes) soon! Working with your sets is a joy and brings so much pleasure. Thank you for creating them and sharing them in n your videos.
@@juliepepperman Oh, that is so lovely to hear how much you appreciate the design thought and details in the stamp sets - thank you! Thrilled that you love working with them. (Shhh... keep your eyes peeled... you haven't got too long to wait 😉😉) Thank you so much for watching and for your thoughtful comment.
Really a gift to watch your creative process, i was so looking forward to seeing what you did with the birch tags. So lovely! I can’t get enough of that stencil but have never tried using the reverse with that one, it just draws you into the forest ❤️
So happy you noticed that effect - I think I might even prefer the printed reverse option with this birch stencil! But it is a beauty either way. Thank you so much for that lovely comment - you put a big smile in my heart with your words.
Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope you will continue to feel better. I have these stamp sets and can recommend them wholeheartedly - they are good quality, they stamp beautifully and are so versatile. I so enjoy watching you create the the layers which bring the image to life and find it really inspiring. I can tell that Tag Time is going to become a favourite watch! Thank you, as ever.
Thank you so much for your generous words about the stamps... I agree - PaperArtsy stamps are really high quality (even before I was designing for them, I thought that!). I'm so happy that you enjoyed today's gentle inspiration. I'm hoping Tag Time will bring lots of joy this year. Happy New Year to you and yours, and thank you for another lovely, thoughtful comment.
Thank you so much for that lovely comment. The train is louder in summer, of course, when all the windows are open, so I'm never sure whether the microphone is picking it up as much in winter as my own ears do... but I'm happy if it adds to the atmosphere for you!
Glad to hear the background noises didn't disturb you (it's louder in summer, of course, when the windows are wide open)... and yes, new words are always fun to play with!! Thanks so much, as always, for your company and comments.
Best wishes for the new year. The tags are beautiful again ❤ I never hear the train coming by. Maybe just very vague after you say it does pass. No need to go for the timetables 😉
Happy you like the tags and happy New Year to you too! I guess the microphone doesn't pick up the train as well as my ears do! It's definitely audible in the summer videos (when all the windows are wide open), but maybe I don't need to worry in winter... Thanks so much for watching and commenting - much appreciated.
Happy New Year, Alison! 🎊 🎉❤🙂 It’s a wintry sky here in New York State, USA as well… a light snow is falling and expected to continue for 3 or 4 days with 1 foot to 2.5 feet forecasted for the persistent bands! Ugh… hoping to stay on top of it this time and NOT get the plow truck stuck this time! =) My stamp sets have the same names as yours - they must have also been from the first batch. I know I ordered them as soon as I saw they were released. They’re STILL waiting for me to play with them! I’m shaking my head… I will procrastinate no more! This is the year and today is the day! I just paused to pull those 3.25x4.75 painted cards in a tin that I created a couple of months or so ago where I had started stamping on them with the Fodder School Stamps but had not colored them in yet…. I’m wanting to also explore more watercolor and liked the idea of coloring in your stamped designs as well as venturing into painting flowers and adding ink details which is why I bought that flower book I mentioned previously. Since today is a holiday and the first day of a brand new year, it’s the perfect time to start. I like the simplicity of your tags and the idea that everything (stamps) you need to do a mixed media piece is on the same stamp set. That’s actually my plan for those cards - a card or three for each EAB set. Time to start using those stamps and not just collecting them! =) When Ranger released those quad-designer ink pads I opted to buy all the re-inkers and custom ink pads instead of the quad pad that I knew would be quirky to use. Although they’ve been neglected lately, over the years I’ve probably used my Archival inks the most often so I have all the colors. I recently invested in the reinkers as the ones that were stored in my spinning 48 ink stand was too close to the heat register and they dried out quite a bit. I just realized that I never reinked the last batch so will be doing that soon! Hope your cold will leave you completely ASAP… it seems the older we get the longer they want to stay! And I hope you enjoy your remaining days of the holiday season. 🙂
The earlier EAB botanical stamps are perfect for watercolouring (if I do say so myself!)... it's one of the things I did a lot of with them. In fact, I would always start by stamping the entire plate in one go and then repeat stamp just the botanicals on the opposite page to explore painting them. (It's worth tracking down some of those posts. Here's one -blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2022/10/new-paperartsy-products-eclectica.html - I can link some more if you're interested.) And yes, the stamps will be very happy if you ink them up... just stamp them to have a look at them without a project in mind, and my guess is that you'll be inspired to carry on! I hope you'll have a lovely time creating with them - I like the idea of stamping on those painted cards which have been waiting around for so long. I agree the designer Archival ink colours are definitely worthy of having their own ink pad each - I never much liked the look of the quad pads, and I'm sure you're right that they're a bit tricksy to ink up from. I enjoy re-inking as a soothing task when the creative impulse is feeling a bit sluggish (like relabelling ink pads). Hope 2025 treats you and yours well (and the rest of the planet too!). Thank you, as ever, for your lovely comments.
I have now that I'm feeling a bit better. I really couldn't have done before... I could barely move for muscle aches and shivers. I'm usually out in all weathers... but I know when my body can't take it! Happy New Year to you too.

Happy new year Alison 🎉Thank you for this wintery treat. I love your tags. They are so poetic. I also like the stamps you used today but unfortunately I can't find them in France 🫤
Well, PaperArtsy themselves are in France these days, and a number of the French stockists on the PaperArtsy list (linked in the video description) carry my stamps, including Toutencolle, Kerudoc, and Fee du Scrap. If the particular set you want is not in stock, you really need to let the store know that you want it, and they can order it. And with PaperArtsy being based in France, it shouldn't take long. Very happy you like the poetic tags - thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Where are you looking? The PaperArtsy stockist list is in the video description, with stores listed alphabetically by country. I don't know where you live so without that information, I can't really be more precise. If the stamps you want are not in stock at any given PaperArtsy stockist who sell my designs, then let them know and they should be able to order them for you. If you really can't find any, let me know where you are based, and I'll try to point you in the right direction. Okay, judging by your accent, I'm going to say Scotland, or UK at least... It's quite possible they were made off camera, but thought I'd ask anyhow. :) Thanks!
Do you mean the snow stamp between the trees? It was done after the trees, and it's in the same starry birch stencil video that is linked in the video description. All these tag backgrounds you see here were made in that video in their entirety, so whichever ones you mean, it's all there in that episode!
