@@jamessimpson1648 GUILTY! I’m 56 and still going to death metal and hardcore shows. I started going to shows at 13, and I’ll be going until I spit my last breath. DM and HC saved my life; music has gotten me through the absolute worst times of my life. It’s funny to be on the Executive level professionally, and I can relate to the younger workers than I can my peers! I don’t hide what music I listen to when speaking with anyone, professionally and personally. I just don’t give a fuck what people think, and I don’t need anyone’s approval or praise. I was turned on to punk and hardcore when I was 11, and the rest is history… When you have a shitty day, there’s nothing like some DM, HC, or Grind to kick me back to feeling better. People don’t understand how or why I’m wired that way, and I couldn’t care less! DM and HC are in my blood, and always will be!!!
Met him in Seattle in 1999 after a show with Hammerfall. Super nice guy in a way you just knew in your gut was genuine and true. Was, and continue to be, incredibly sad he died so young. Rest in peace, man. Metal misses you.
@truthseeker2466 There were countless do-it-yourself magazines dedicated to underground metal that kept track of such things, next to the more mainstream rock/metal 'zines like Metal Hammer, RockHard, Kerrang etc.(i'm in EU) that also had concert agendas as far as i can recall. It wasn't all that hard if you knew where to look in my opinion?

I was hoping this would be more speicific about the exact thing that killed him. The treatment killed him not the tumor. But he was going to die anyway. He and his family knew the risks, and they were aware that the experimental treatment was a long shot. It ended up hastening his death.
There's so many possibilities as to what this man could have done had had lived on, but one I think about all the time, would have been him being on the team leaders on the Roadrunner 20th anniversary album.
I remember reports at the time in the UK saying he died after treatment was withdrawn when his insurance ran out. If that's the case, it just makes rhe tragedy worse.😢
From what I have read (eg. interviews with his family), the treatment he was receiving toward the end was experimental and very, very harsh on the body- which in turn weakened his immune system, and he died from complications from pneumonia.
What do you mean? I wasn't aware who this was, but after a quick Google i found out that he was a part of The Black Dahlia Murder and that he suicided...
DEATH, the first ever DEATH METAL band, NOT POSSESSED as some would want to claim. It absolutely true that Jeff Buschema from the band Possessed came up with the name DEATH METAL to describe the power and intensity of their music, (great band by the way) but Chuck and DEATH are the originators and perveyors of DEATH METAL. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
You can listen to the early Death album and still feel modern metal to this day.
Yes
First album I ever bought was scream bloody gore. I was 13 😂😂😂
57 years old....I blast his music out of my Lexus. The stares I get......

R.I.P. Evil Chuck. I was fortunate enough to see Death live twice in the 90's, gone but never forgotten
@@ShapeshifteR-TheAnomalyGameCat man. I tried so hard but as you know it wasn't easy finding out when bands played. No Internet just word of mouth.

Can you do Trevor strnad? Cause you can’t find cause of death anywhere
I'll look it up. Thanks for the suggestion!

@ no one knows how or why or for what reasons or where
Suicide is a manner of death. Not a cause of death.
