Honestly, I think there is a decent argument to be made for Luffy going to rescue Coby. Because the main reason Luffy didn't rescue Ace immediately was because his only clue to Ace being in danger was the Vivre Card burning, and he believed that Ace was strong enough to handle himself and that Ace would likely just get pissed at him for going after him. Meanwhile Luffy knows Koby is weaker than him, Blackbeard is pretty much responsible for his brother's death, Luffy knows Blackbeard is his rival and has the same end goal that he does and may choose to confront him now rather than later, and he likely still wants to finish that argument with BB about whether cherry pie sucks.

Plus another good point for this it would possibly mark the beginning of the end for the world government i Luffy uses his grand fleet for the first time to fight blackbeard and save Koby, whilst the world government just sit idly by, which could spark murmuring across the world as to why Luffy a pirate would risk so much to save a marine that even the marines didnt try to save, that could also tie into the eventual climax of the strawhats and the revolutionary army vs the world government having had luffys action convert alot of people away from the world government.

As much as it was used to show how diametrically opposite he was to Teach, it's still a plot device, and cherry pie in general is probably alright. It was likely that specific slice of cherry pie that was served to Luffy in Mock Town that sucked. Like maybe a cockroach fell into that slice during baking, or the fruit that was in the slice went bad much earlier. Either way, it's a period setting, so good food preservation among the lower class probably wasn't all too accessible, especially for pirates and places that cater to them. And concerning any refrigeration they had in a crime-ridden place like Mock Town, eateries there wouldn't have the best fridges at hand, since their patrons would try to steal equipment they need for their own travels, or more often, damage the establishments during a brawl. So the poor saps who had to live there probably repaired/built their fridges out of parts bought from Masira's Salvage operations. Also, if he could eat the filth Sanji served him when he finally came back for him at Whole Cake for sake of friendship, I doubt Luffy would say a perfectly normal cherry pie truly tasted awful.
I thought it was pretty interesting for Oda to show us the connection Blackbeard has to his crewmates: none. He didn't hesitate long before deciding that killing Hancock would be the the most beneficial to his situation, even if it meant sacrificing Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot (and pretty much everyone else). Just like with the Rocks pirates, there seem to be no bonds between the crew, at least from what we have seen.
I mean, he got these two by having the inmates of Leveel 6 fight to the death.
Not much of a surprise that he'd sacrifice them if necessary.
As well as the whole antithesis to Lufyy thing.
Blackbeard might give a little more about his core crew. But for me what really drove this point of not caring is how similar Blackbeard looks to both Vasco Shot and Catharina Devon.
Blackbeard card a LOT about his crewmates, especially Van Auger and Burgess. He is the opposite of Luffy but that is only in IDEOLOGY, not in practice. If BB can save his crew then he would do it, hench the sequence with Rayleigh. As the Dark King has said himself, if BB really wanted a piece of the cherry pie then he will get it, and there is little that Rayleigh can do to stop him.
He was right in a sense though, Hancock would have nothing more than her word that she would turn them all back, and you should NEVER take a pirate at their word.
During Jaya BB was about to abandon Lafayette, He would definitely do the same to anyone under him
Luffy isn't gonna go rescue Koby before Garp tries to, and fails. Then it can happen, when Koby and Garp fail Luffy will go in.

I think Garp will be there before Luffy and he will probably not fail in fighting but maybe because the marine has connection to BB or he just takes Corby as a hostage and Garp cant fight him because of that but then Luffy does the Job for him. I think this would be much more fitting
I see a few outcomes: Garp goes and tries to save Koby but fails and either gets captured or dies, either way Luffy goes to rescue either just Koby or both and succeeds.

They arrive at similar times and whilst Garp is fighting BB, Luffy goes and breaks out Koby and by the time Koby is free Garp has lost which commences LUFFY (will of Roger), KOBY (trained by Garp) VS Blackbeard (Connection to Xebec)
I think one thing that's overlooked by the fanbase is the latest chapter, is that blackbeard has now been shown using haki. we knew he had it, but this is the first time we have seen him use it.

@@levizin917 the fact he's been a pirate just as long as shanks (both being cabin boys for legendary pirates) but Teach jumped from solo act to warlord to yonko in just 2-ish years whereas shanks went solo when Luffy was still a kid and took much longer to get to yonko status is also overlooked by many
1) I was terrified when black beard showed up because that means it was essentially game set match
2) would be hilarious if the buggy bot was deemed a failure by vegapunk because surely a yonko/Roger pirate couldn't "be this weak". Would also be interesting to see a "what could've been" buggy if he continued training seriously
Given that Buggy had the innate potential to be as strong as Shanks but ruined it through his own choices a Seraph Buggy could go either way.

I hope Oda gives us an undercover agent, mystery thriller type story line for Koby while he’s captured. If BB’s plan is to sell Koby to cross guild Oda could use Koby and Sword as a means to give us new information on both groups, making Koby both a great literary device and a fun genre shift from the standard action/adventure, especially after such a heavy action-packed Wano arc. maybe Aokiji is a secret Sword operative undercover with Blackbeard??

The pacyfista already used the kizaru devil fruit. So maybe we can expect them using devil fruits of other admirals.
Could be more than 1 seraphim for each warlord, if they are using the same cloning technology as judge i would have mulitple mihawk seraphims or other warlords
I think there will not be strictly 1 seraph per warlord, the WG is fully aware of the power gap between the warlords and having a Buggy clone would be cool but kinda meh for the WG
Vegapunk could always copy devil friuits, but I think that with the seraphim he's finally unlocked something *more*. Remember on Punk Hazard, Vegapunk managed to completely copy Kaido's fruit, but he deemed it a failure. This means he was after something more than just copying the fruit, which is kind of worrying
@@nyalan8385 Perhaps he was trying to copy Kaido as a whole. The fact that he ended only with a copy of his devil fruit would be a failure from that perspective.
Rocky Port was a Port Island where Vagapunk was, that was attacked by a bunch of pirates including Law. Coby was on the island picking up equipment for his ship. (Wang Zhu or whoever Blackbeard usurped) Probably had a huge force invested in the conflict. So Coby defending the port and Law betraying the Pirates weakened Zhu and lead to Blackbeard taking over
I always assumed Kuma sent Luffy to Amazon Lilly because of their widespread use of Haki and its remote nature. Everyone on that island can use armament and at the very least it was a good place for luffy to start his haki journey.

I can see Garp and Sengoku going off on one last ride together to go rescue Koby. Could be our chance to learn more about Sword and maybe meet up with Aokiji along the way since he's supposed to have joined Blackbeard's crew.
It could also serve as a "passing of torch" scenario for Koby
that would be more of a representation of garps and sengokus strength
Let me add further , Garp may (hope not) die due to being old and Luffy will avenge him.
I think its time for Luffy vs Blackbeared ; Acc to me , Sabo and Jewellery Bonney will help him in the battle . Currently maybe Sabo and Bonney are together after the Reverie incident and Bonney holds a grudge against BB as she was capture by him when she entered the NewWorld.

I love that the seraphim are the culmination of all the science we've seen in and surrounding New World. Germa's cloning & body modification, whatever experiments they ran on Arber, Pacifistas laser tech- all of it coming together in the form of the original seven warlords might be the best reveal since the Oden flashback.
Hot take theory on Coby: He didnt get kidnapped. He planted himself within Blackbeards crew. We know Coby is part of Sword and for all we know, sword just lost one of their operatives within a yonko crew, aka Drake. Not sure what he wants with BlackBird, since Aokiji is already with BlackBeard, but i guess he has his reasons.
Its just as much a feint as the whole "sabo killed cobra" thing... sabo prob. rescued vivi and they ran off....or they hit it of so much they eloped :D

And i didnt say Coby "sneaked" onto BBs ship, i was thinking more along the lines of "Actually, im fed up with the marines, lemme join you." BB has a track record of taking in ex marines or Government workers (aokiji, Shiryu).
I admit, delivering this sharade to BB in a convincing manner would be quite hard in the given situation, but who knows. They only ones stating "Coby was kidnapped" are the Marines he came to the island with, and they may not have the full picture, since sword and their operations are not public knowledge. And they were probably petrified at the time.
Again, i am not that much of a fan of Coby that i wouldnt want him to be kidnapped, i only think Oda likes to fool us and may be at it once again.
The part I didn't understanding that well was Dragon assuming the worst with Sabo instead of trusting him. Sabo is the second in command and he's like: "If Sabo really killed Cobra yada yada." That really disappointed me.

I think its likely that BB will sell Coby for the bounty to the Cross guild so it sets up a fight against them and perhaps buggy will somehow form a Alliance with Shanks to go to the last Island. This would give the Strawhats a lot of nice matchups, forecing two eperors again.

I was under the impression that Kuma didn't get to choose where a person was sent but that his devil fruit sent them where they needed to be. 🤔🤨🤯
Perona wanted to be on Mihawk’s island, and Kuma sent Perona to Mihawk’s island, so clearly Kuma does decide on which locations on where people should be to.

1. I'm hoping that the next arc would be a matchup between Strawhats and BB already.
2. Then we'll get a hiatus or time-skip and nobody knew what happened and Coby became like Garp.
3. BB suddenly gets all the ancient weapons and got the world on his knees.
4. Then Strawhats get another showdown against BB then wins it all.
5. Plot Twist: Imu was controlling BB all the time and now the final match-up to free the world begins!
It was definitely foreshadowed during the Marineford war that Blackbeard will fight Shanks.
I’m more along the thought that Coby will inherit Kuzan’s fruit power, I just feel major death vibe for Kuzan being around BBPs playing secret agent, if he got killed by Blackbeard then I’d love it if Coby got his fruit, he is very suitable for the power because he’s very “cool headed”

You can't inherit devil fruit. Once a person dies it appears somewhere else on the planet and you actually have to learn how to use your devil fruit and there's no time for coby to do that.
Why is everyone so desperate for coby to become unrealistically strong when he's done less than practically everyone in one piece in terms of time spent working on becoming stronger.

@@airstruct2887 exactly and obviously I was hinting at Blackbeard stealing the fruit, but Coby getting it instead since he’s captured by Blackbeard and Kuzan is there and would not let them harm Coby, that would cause a conflict between Kuzan and Blackbeard pirates, Blackbeard may try to get his fruit for one of his captains but Coby ends up getting it instead, they’re all gonna be in the same area and just like how Coby stand against Akainu is the same way Kuzan was against Akainu, Coby makes sense

Tinfoil hat time! What if the Sabo that killed King Cobra was actually a seraph? It would make sense seeing as how Sabo has the Mera Mera and seraphim have access to fire due to their lunarian DNA, so it'd be easy to make it look like it's actually him, enveloped in flames

Just a quick thought: How would you find it if the whole Blackbeard arc would not include Luffy. It would just be Koby (maybe Law) and the Marines vs Blackbeard. Blackbeard does not feel like a typical Manga Villain at all in contast to Kaido so he could be the Enemy of someone else then the MC. Furthermore Oda would go in more character Detail with the Marines like their hopes and dreams which we sadly had not that much until now. But maybe this all just happens before our favourite Monkey with the D comes in play
personally, I think One Piece is still far from being over. Yes Oda said it's at least 80% done but I think he didn't know what he was talking about. The reason for this is because there is still so much that can and will probably happen/be revealed.
Just to name a few:
The Rocks Pirates power will be revealed as well as the entire crew, the same for the Red Hair Pirates.
The ancient weapons' powers will be revealed.
The Red Line will (probably) fall.
Luffy becomes pirate king.
Im will be revealed as well as his and the Five Elders' powers.
Law will (maybe) use Perennial Youth Operation or it will be revealed that someone has used it on someone else.
Sengoku and Garp's prime powers will be revealed.
The Will of D, Joy Boy, the Void Century, the One Piece and Laughtale will be revealed.
A fight with Blackbeard, a fight with the world government, a fight with the admirals will all (maybe) happen.
That new Pacifista girl from the latest chapter or whatever that was.
The Revolutionary army will get an arc (with Dragon's df, Sabo's deal with Alabasta and (probably) a big fight).
if some of these are wrong or dumb, please feel free to correct me.
There is still soooo much that can and probably will happen and I don't believe the last saga will be anything less than like 200 chapters at least. Might be wrong though.
One piece has been running for 25 years.. if its 80% over, that's still 5ish more years of issues.
@@karenamyx2205 he said that in 2018 which is almost 5 years ago. That is about 21 years. If it was 80% then, it'd be a little more than 6 years to end, so next year.
this is just a thought that I'm having half way through the video, but I feel like whenever we have discussions about characters who don't have a devil fruit power gaining one, I've never heard coby come up. considering all the admirals have very powerful fruits, perhaps as he gets stronger he is given one by the world government? or maybe, in the process of trying to escape, he finds a devil fruit that blackbeard has stored but not taken the power of for whatever reason (probably some limit to the way he can take powers from others but not directly from the fruit), and coby takes it as a last ditch attempt to give himself an advantage. I know this comment is a bit of a ramble, but I thought it was at least slightly interesting enough that it might inspire some smarter thoughts in someone else

It's a good idea, I wonder what devil fruit would work best for him. Also compared to other people's ramblings yours is pretty short.
The reason is because hes garps protege. He wont need it especially since the story is moving on away from devil fruits being the strongest and haki being above all.
Coby being captured is interesting because of who may have his Vivre card. Maybe Coby is trying to track BB using himself as the bait
Blackbeard will fight shanks again the reason : in marineford when shanks and bb face off bb says he is not ready to fight them yet this means they will have a rematch and I think bb might either ask koby to join him or he will use koby as a bait to bring out marines and it will be even more chaotic because the marines are low on power and it will sure result to the start of the war
BB also said if I remember he is not ready yet to take on akainu.
So maybe the final battle would
BB vs marines vs straw hats.
But yeach the bb vs shanks MUST happen to show strenght of powered up bb crew

Anyone else notice the distinct visual similiarities between Coby and Ace? The Hair is very similiar, the headband and Ace’s goggles on his hat, Being captured, Ect.
Heres my prediction: Luffy will find the final road poneglyph and his journey to laughtale is all but secured, and as they get ready to embark on possibly their final voyagena news coo flys by and Luffy finds out about Koby, this would commence a flashback to when he found out about Ace, after this we would probably see Usopp say "so are we going to laughtale now" to which luffy gives the order to rally the grand fleet and set sail for fullalead (Blackbeards island) to which would be met with understanding from the crew, and the sail to blackbeard would go by and page by page, new ships from the grandfleet would appear on either side of the sunny with the final ones appearing as the island comes into view. The final page of the chapter would be Luffy stood on the Sunnys head, crew to his side.
Then in all honesty would probably be a hiatus/break
The first chapter back would be a full on assault with luffy leading the charge (to contrast whotebeards more reserved and calculating approach) this fight will go on and we would possibly see Garp vs Blackbeard and Garp loses the fight wpuld then end with Luffy beating Blackbeard with koby in a 2 on 1 like garp and roger vs rocks and rescuing Koby with no involvement from the world government, then we would see a flashback to god valley or before they arrive.
After their fight we would see the reactions from the world and see people begin to lose faith in the marines after they witnessed a pirate go to war for the sake of saving a Marine that even his own people didn't try to rescue (excluding Garp) this would make even more people turn to the revolutionary army after they awaken to the world govenments corruption.
Then Koby would stay aboard the sunny whilst they head for Laughtale perhaps even vivo and yamato will be on board again by then.
Meanwhile the revolutionary army finally wages war against the world government whilst luffy reaches laughtale, becoming pirate king, then part way through the fight between the revolutionary army and World Government we would see as the red line crumbles into the sea and luffy leads all his allies into the true final war against the world government and marines this would be, the grandfleet, drum kingdom, alabasta, sky piea, fishman island, dressrosa, wano, elbaf, supernovas, kuja pirates with shakky and Rayleigh, big mom pirates led by Katakuri, beast pirates led by Yamato, red hair pirates and the remnants of the whitebeard pirates.
This would reign in the ending of
Sanji fighting Kiazaru, Zoro fighting Ryukugyu and jimbei fighting Fujitora leaving luffy to fight Sakazuki for a bit before leaving the rest of that fight to sabo whilst luffy goes to fight/confront Imu. Perhaps we would even see Dragon versus the five elders with garp by his side.

Theory about the final war in One Piece
I was rewatching Marineford. Near the end of the war, when Blackbeard and Shanks face off, something struck me as a premonition. Blackbeard says, “we are not ready to fight you yet” when facing Shanks and the Red Haired Pirate crew. I believe that the final war in One Piece will be between Luffy and Shanks against Blackbeard. There, Blackbeard will kill Shanks, and Luffy will survive and win. Let me know what you guys think of this theory.

I think Luffy is going to focus on the Sabo and Vivi stuff. Then either the Straw Hat Fleet or Smoker/Tashigi/Garp will deal with getting Koby.
Dude!!! Jobs being captured is a perfect reason for Garp joining the fight. Now we need Sabo in the same location and Vivi with him, and boom: Ideal situation for the 3 monkey-Ds to join forces.
I remember Kuma once asked Nami if Ace is Luffy’s brother in Thriller Bark, that’s when Ace was captured by the Marine. Hence the reason he sent Luffy to Amazon Lily for the possibility of going to Marineford with Boa Hancock.
I theorize that Koby defeated Wang Zhi or at least majority of his forces, but he cut a deal with Blackbeard. He would leave the island to him as long as all civilians were released.
The fact that Koby dodged all lf Boa's attacks, and was "only" tired and not completely defeated. Tells me that he is near Boa's level which is not low.
It is possible he hasnt gained higher rank because of 2 things. Since reverie, there were 2 major incidents Koby was part of:
1. ROCKY PORT
2. Attack on Amazon Lily.
I think he is likely between Admiral and Rear Admiral level. Depends on how much he naster the Rokushiki and his Haki.

A fight against Blackbeard where Luffy helps Coby would be a cool reflection of the first menace Luffy faces.
To contain coby, BB will force feed him the jacket jacket fruit, then apply seastone cuffs to keep him weak.

Rayleigh also said he wasn't sure If he'd be able to deal with Blackbeard at his age. Of course, implying he would be able to deal with anyone else. Including maybe Blackbeard. That's a strong, dark king. And the current yonko seem to have a long way to go to hit the prime Roger ceiling, especially considering what Kaido had to say about his strength.
Coby went full circle. He started the series by being kidnapped by a fat pirate and now he's once again kidnapped by a fat pirate
Blackbeard captured Koby because, whether he was aware of what would happen or not, he now shares the Yonkou mantle with 3 characters that were introduced within the first 10 chapters of the series-or first volume, if name drops count. Said 3 characters also have recruited characters that were also introduced within the first volume, so if he wants to stay competitive, he also needs some of those characters that have existed for almost 25 years. Unfortunately, his options without Koby would involve risking the wrath of Woop Slap or figuring out where the hell Axe-Hand Morgan is, so the lavender-haired marine it was.
BB took Koby clearly because he want to know more about the Seraphim project, because he look shook at the revelation of the new superweapon.
About the Seraphim - I feel like Oda just happened to have all those child version drawings of prominent characters already at his disposal and when he dropped them in SBS he was cackling madly. We might see more than seven of them. Consider this - every 'child version' he's shown us could have a connected Seraphim. That's... kinda terrifying to think about considering he's shown us the Admirals in child form. And said Admirals are... conveniently right there for the DNA-taking, too.

Boa and Mihawk are known for their Haki. Mihawk obviously due to his extreme swordskill and ability to clash with someone like Shanks back in the day. Likely a Conquerer Haki user too.
Boa is a known Conqueror Haki user as well.
And Conqueror's unlike other Haki is very much keyed to who a person is their DNA. So if there are other unseen Seraphim floating about likehood might be... Doffy and Jimbe. As Moria, Croc, Buggy, Law, and Blackbeard tend to be greater threats due to their Fruits than their Haki.
Now if Vegapunk figured out how to clone Paramecia powers or Logia powers from the DNA ala Kaido and Fish-Fish Zoan then we have a much more likely chance to see some really dangerous ideas coming together. Unlikely but not impossible considering the duplication of effect with PX-0 and PX-1 Kuma models but no Paw duplication yet.
I just imagine Garp saying something like “First my son, now my student, I’m gonna KICK YOR ASS!” Garp could absolutely kick the shit out of BlackBeard with a few tactical advantages. One or two smart plays, and BB eats a town leveling fist to the face

When it comes to Rayleigh bluffing out Blackbeard, we have to remember that Blackbeard saw Rayleigh in his prime. When Roger and Whitebeard had the big clash, Blackbeard was right there, watching Rayleigh flick Pineapple boi away with one finger.
Wild theory. If the world government created the Seraphim based off the DNA of the warlords it wouldn't be too far fetched to say they might have an Ace and even potentially Gol D. Roger Seraphim. Would make for a very wild later final conflict towards the end of the story

Here's an idea - Blackbeard somehow knows about Luffy & Coby's friendship. Thanks to Morgans, the world now knows that Luffy has some insane Devil Fruit, with the rumors being that he can turn into a "Monkey Demon." Koby is bait for Luffy so that Blackbeard can try to get his fruit power. Maybe?
I just dont understand why people think BB get coby for Cross Guild for money hes a YONKO and can get money whenever he want from islands especially now Big mom and Kaido gone there are probably a lot of islands unprotected
