I used to touch people's hearts through music, and spoken word. I can't do that anymore, and it has left me feeling broken, and empty. I now simply post the music I used to do... mostly on my main channel. I'm not attractive at all, and thankfully don't live where street artists work. Devon Rodriguez is my hero, for his art, and the beauty of his heart. Watching these artists touch people's lives with their gifts made me cry, and sadly smile a little for some of the reactions. I'm always amazed by people drawing portraits in a short amount of time... Went through drawing a detailed portrait once I'm really proud of, but it took me two weeks of drawing atleast 8 hours a day and than there are people who do the same in 30 minutes.
This is soooooo touching. Wow. Hard to watch with a dry eye. Talent like this is soooooo special. And often the artist just takes it for granted. Just amazing.

yeah... artists need to earn a life, you know? unlike you say, many of these made those portraits by commission, to ask for some money after, or to try to please someone in particular. this world is made of more than feelings and it's a hard life for one who tries to make a living out of art.

My 3 grandchildren are almost or already a black belt in karate because she did all of the murals and art work for the dojo. Bartering and trading is what we need to be doing anyhow so that we're not dependent on govt. entities that don't give a rats ass about us. Good luck to you and may you walk in good health.🤔

Still, once, I also traded a couple of months' worth of lessons in a Martial Arts/Body Build Gym. Underground bartering is what we'll be doing very soon if we don't want to get chip implanted. not to mention the magnetic pole shift we're already entering... hope you been prepping. Good luck for you all, too.

The thing about art s that it reminds us that we have a HEART. Every human heart needs to have a place to extend the love we all carry inside, all the love we have a heard time sharing with other humans. All those tears is the heart weeping because we are desperate to feel!! How many of us have pets that we love?? Simply places to love!!!

I wish I had the talent to do this. After asking my dad through 27 years of marriage to buy my mum an Omega wristwatch ( a dream that she'd had since she was a teen ), my dad failed miserably. It wasn't the lack of watch, but complete lack of effort from my dad in every area of his marriage to my mum and she eventually left him. I do not blame her. When I left the army and I landed my first decent salaried job in my field, I asked my 2 brothers and sister if they would come in with me and buy our mum the watch. All 3 of them were earning more than me. I got generic fob-offs from them all. I was so utterly stunned at how selfish they were. So I thought fck it. I walked into the jewellers shop with my Christmas bonus and brought her the gorgeous Omega Deville 22ct gold face/bezel on Alligator skin. I watched her open it on Christmas morning. She burst into tears. It cost me £800 and was totally worth it. I got to make my mums dream come true. The same watch today would cost over £7500. It isn't the value of the gift folks, it's the thought that you put into it. That is where the true value is. Everybody had forgotten about my mums dream, possibly even mum, but I didn't. Love you mum. xxx
The lady on the train who burst into tears, for some reason this really touched me. I'm not sure what was going on in her life, but the outburst of emotions tells me that she probably wasn't in a good place. Maybe it was loneliness, isolation or who knows. But I felt her emotion deeply. I would love to know about her, and if she is okay.

I’m not convinced that he draws people on the subway that quickly. He probably takes a pic of them and gives it to them later because look at the detail, some of them are in color in great detail. Most people are on the subway for 5 to 7 minutes. I don’t deny the talent, I just don’t believe he draws them in real time on the subway
The precise lighting and shading of the portraits leads me to believe that he is indeed looking at a still photo. If it was a more broad sketch style or caricature I'd be more inclined to see how it can be done in a few minutes from a live subject. But yeah, I'm calling it staged. He does have undeniable skills though.
you'd be surprised how fast artists can work. My parents paid for a street artist rendition of me once, back in Fiji, I still have the picture, probably took them 9 minutes and it looks exactly like me at 5 years old. Actually one of my favourite pictures of me, looks _exactly_ like me, just 10/10 talent for sure PS. I was with my best friend when his Dad got a caricature drawing of himself done, and that also took like 10 minutes and looks exactly like him but exaggerated. I like how they display that picture most prominently at my friend's parents' house; like front and center over the dining table lol.
There are a lot of truly talented people out there! The two that really effected me were the Swiss judges got made a fool of and the one where the old guy received a portrait of his beloved pooch! A thousand thumbs up!
These are badass artworks. I used to love to draw when I was a kid. I felt like a was getting pretty good. Until I met others that could draw like this. I realized then that I am not the chosen one and gave up on it. Oh well.
