Thanks so much sir! I wonder if the youths will get the reference! I randomly start singing old theme songs and my girlfriend just looks at me like "what the heck man". I love those moments, hehe.
@@DiscussingTrek Haha. They probably have no idea. Just the other idea I had "Grecian Fiiiiive" pop into my head. Then I tried to reference it to my friend who had no idea. These things will be stuck in our heads until the end.
19:19 think about the Peabody awards, where Trek was honored with an award. Scott Bakula was present and onstage. WHY? Is he coming back home? Will there be an Enterprise callback with him as Archer in season 3? Food for thought, brothers. Food for thought😮
Interesting discussion for sure ultimately I think Star Trek's future will hang on who buys Paramount then if Kurtzman takes a buyout of his studio or not because the current era of Trek from Discovery up to Strange New Worlds is in his studio's court, but there are rumblings that Hollywood has pigeonholed him into being the Star Trek guy and he can't get anything else made which absolutely happens in the industry. While I haven't seen the latest Bad Boys film only because I just never got into that series, I will say in the lead up to its release the directors talked about while making Batgirl they felt there was scripting issues that needed to be fix and this was pre writers strike and Discovery purchase. But the Batgirl team was coming in after the umpteenth change to The Flash and Aqua Man 2 that the former Warner Bros head Walter Hamada said, shoot the film as scripted or we'll find someone who will." So poor guys were between a rock and a hard place. And those same script issues were brought up by test audience as just not liking the main direction of the story. So by that point it was past the point of no return and the film was killed which sucks for the directors because I they have the two Bad Boy films under their belt so they can work well.
Star Fleet academy in the 32nd century is stupid, stupid stupid. 1- 32nd century IP is worthless, fans do not buy. 2- Discovery is hated. 3- People want the continuation of Picard 3rd season. 4- SNW is at minimum liked. So why not do more of it?
I’m ready for the big swings in Trek🖖🏽 I listen to the musical episode each week and watch Those Old Scientists often!
Those episode are amazing and are aging beautifully. I agree, more big swings!
The Best Part of Waking Up, Is Discussing Trek in My Cup.

42:49 that's when the few years between us shows - Holly Hunter is an icon!

I’m 1000% here for it.
31:59 I loved Yetide Badaki in that episode (so much so, she's on my shortlist for live action Storm for the MCU!
I like that. Her or either Jodie Turner-Smith.
@@DiscussingTrek she's high up on my list, as well.

Muppets. Muppets are a bigger swing than musical. FYI - I have a whole idea for a Muppet/Orville crossover. lol
Ooh. I can definitely seeing McFarlene doing one.
