Kuala Lumpur is in Malaysia, not Indonesia. While the Indonesian language is very close to the Malay language, the sign obviously is in Malay.

Yea Yelena was definitely in Malaysia. Fun fact, "main lobby" is "lobi utama" in both Malay and Indonesian, bcs the latter has its roots in Malay (thru their shared history of the ancestral Srivijaya Kingdom and Majapahit Empire) mixed in with Dutch (thru colonialism), Arabian , Chinese (thru trades) and Javanese words.

I always thought the asterisk was meant to us that the members we're seeing rn are not the true thunderbolts team and that Val is testing who's qualified to be a member. Maybe that's why the tag line says "careful who you assemble".

Man, there is a LOT of Sentry imagery in this that I hadn't noticed. Yelena is definitely the main character but I'm thinking that it may be a situation like Infinity War (or Oppenheimer, Silence of the Lambs, Beetlejuice, 2024's The Apprentice, etc.) where the antagonist may be the one shouldering most of the movie's themes.
The dog as the void has a sort of "i'm sorry jon" vibe to it. The Garfield is an eldritch horror attached to Jon fan theory.
I really wanted Bucky to eventually become The White Wolf and get that upgrade, like Sam Wilson got by becoming the new Captain America. The Winter Soldier moniker doesn't really fit him anymore now that Bucky is redeemed. I also think the White Wolf costume would look cool in live action.
So essentially the mcu government is trying to create Homelander.

Not only would the oppo research write itself, the US government itself would work very hard to keep someone who was a brainwashed hydra superspy/assassin for 80 years as far from a US security clearance as they could get him, no matter what he did before or after those *EIGHTY YEARS* working directly against the United States.
The absolute only way he makes sense as a Congress critter is if Val just straight up installs him there. Just naked corruption. Anything else is laughably unserious.
I bet Bucky's status as a WW2 vet & Howling Commando and a POW helped balance out being a Manchurian Candidate-style assassin for decades. Along with his involvement in defending Earth in the Battles of Wakanda & Earth/Avengers Compound.

I'm trying to figure out if bucky really shoots the limo. They always rearrange things in the trailers ... We see something and we're like OMG and then we get in the theatre and it's completely different.....

The way David Harbour plays Alexei Shostakov makes him one of my favorite characters in the mcu right now. I love the choices he makes.
I still personally think the Vibranium arm Nebula gave Rocket in the Holiday Special was just a replica and Bucky has his REAL arm in this movie.

It looks like they're all being sent to test sentry. Maybe he's in the process of remembering who he is or maybe it's the project that created him, no clue. I'm just hoping they do right with void.
Seeing Bucky using the disk bomb launcher like from WS gives me hope they will be faithful to the WS’s strength
Sentry doesn’t warp reality, at least not in any of his early publications. It was Reed Richards who helped program the Watchtower to send out a signal to wipe all memory of the Sentry and the Void from everyone including Robert Reynolds himself. Because the Sentry is his good stable side, the Void is the other half of his power and evil side. Partly stemming from his Dissociative identity disorder.
Sentry is by far one of my favorite characters ever

I'm surprised you didn't mention that the long, blond hair in the last of the images of Bob's head is what Sentry's hair looks like in the comics. This would seem to indicate that that's the look the scientists working on him have settled upon.
and per the graph looks like it was the most popular choice.
26:19 i’m pretty sure bucky has a line in falcon and the winter soldier where he’s helping falcon fix the boat and he uses a wrench to fix something and falcon asks “why didn’t you use your arm” and he says something like “i don’t always think of it, i’m right handed@

The lettering matches up perfectly ‼️Thats why its an “*” because they’re not going to reveal it until the end of the movie
But the thunder bolts and the dark avengers are fundamentally different teams... one is more of a suicide squad where villains are used to do things heroes probably won't, and the darkavengers is a team Norman Osborn created where various villains take the names and costumes of heroes (bullseye becomes Hawkeye, Norman becomes iron patriot) they are two different teams that operate at the same time, it's like the west coast, east coast, young, and regular avengers, they are diffrent teams that serve different purposes, also the thunderbolts are hired by a government subsection where as the dark avengers are more like the avengers where they were assembled by some one in the government but they don't exactly listen
AcTuAlLy.... Reed Richards used an electronic device to wipe the sentry's existence from everyone's mind (including Reed's and Bob's). It was attached to the top of the watchtower and was a way to keep "The Void" from reemerging.

My wild theory is they're releasing two versions of the movie and it'll be a challenge to @NewRockstars to find all the differences, changes, and consequences. One of the versions will take place in Doom's universe. (Also, is it just me or does that first shot of Sentry look identical to Tom Holland being caught by Ned in Homecoming?)
The Sentry backstory sounds like something Roy Thomas was doing with All Star Squadron and Infinity, Inc back in his DC days of the late 70s and into the 80s. This idea of inventing unknown characters in the 40s and then giving them a raison d'être within the modern era even though "nobody" had thought about them throughout the 40 years between them.
I have the complete original comic run on sentry and really like the depth of the character.
I hope they do him right including his evil alter ego.

While I do like the idea of Bucky possibly being brainwashed in someway to explain the arm thing. I feel that there could be two other options for it; 1. (less likely) He's pretending to be the Winter Soldier like he did in Madripoor in FAWS. or 2. He's just using his robo-arm to get better stability on a weapon that probably has more kick than his human hand would be able to handle/is used to.
