We've just had news this evening that they've stopped the rural renewal stream as of September. This was our pathway to PR as my husband has filled a technical position his company couldn't hire locally for. We're now stuck with not knowing what we're going to do, as we don't have enough points for a general PR visa.

Not stopped they are going to be point based system from sep 30 .

@@MrFahee It will no longer be the rural renewal stream. We've spoken to immigration consultants (that's how we found out). Oddly enough, those we have spoken to about getting provincial nomination had no clue it was ending.

Hi, I am an applicant under the RRS in fort mcmurray, its been over 7 months since I applied and hasn't received any updates from aaip other than the additional information request I received in August, which when received the application status went back to Submitted. is there any reason for this delay, please share any updates if you have any thank you.

Overall 5 is sufficient but 5 in each module will strengthen your profile.
