My father and I both worked for Datsun's national headquarters during the time that Brock Racing Enterprises ran these cars in the Trans Am Series. My bride and I attended the final race at Laguna Seca. The Alfa won that race, but was disqualifed for having too large of a fuel tank giving the BRE cars the title. I have gotten back into the slot car hobby after a long long time and these cars certainly caught my eye. They are spot on in the livery. BRE's shop was near where I lived in California. A good book to read about that season is Sylvia Wilkinson's "The Stainless Steel Carrot" Your videos have really helped me with these new cars. Thanks for doing them.
Trans Am was a fabulous series, beautifully detailed about thirty years ago in Vintage Motorsport magazine, used to pick my copy up on Harrods bookshop in London. Bought the Revo #46, looking forward to the slot it version later this year, enjoy.

Very nice! I can't wait till mine arrive and get them on track. I was lucky enough to grow up around SCCA racing and Bob Sharp's BRE Datsun Racing Team at tracks in the Midwest and North East. These are some for my favorite Tran Am cars along with Al Hobert's Porsches.

@Homeracingworld If you’ve got any sway with Revo Slot encourage them to make a #68 version. That was the car Peter Gregg drove to win the 1972 Watkins Glen 2.5 T/A race. The very race that started my life-long 510 addiction!
For the money I Was disappointed with My number 46 as it did not run out the box Motor was not engaged with the rear mesh. When I did get it running in the 1st lap the engine mounted screw fell out
Just received the #46 car. Like Harry's, I had NO gear mesh at all out of the box. Easy fix and part of the overall pre-run check. Still, that's a first for me, Revo Slot or otherwise. Wonder how many shipped that way?
They don't work out the box, loose motor mounts, wheels rubbing the arches. Is this acceptable for a car that costs this much. Initially I disregarded people saying this. These cars should work out the box, fine adjustments are okay. No lubrication on gears, wheels rubbing etc. I have had a Revo white kit and thought fine it is expected but not for what is basically an RTR car. If I buy an NSR or Slot. It they at least run out the box. You don't buy a car from a garage and then have to work on it before you can drive it. Pod is non adjustable unless you adjust it and use thread lock. What are people's feelings on these issues?
Sure, all my revo's needed additional work before I ran them. Guess that is due to the mass production. For this money you really get a lot! I suppose the QC checks lack. I don't mind that too much. But for inexperienced that is not good, they might be annoyed. After some care they all run beautifully.

All beautiful cars but the lack of bumpers on the #52 makes it a little more racier.
