Hi! Thanks for the in depth review. I do voice overs (kind of like for a children's channel so my voice can get high sometimes) and record in an untreated noisy room. I've been looking at the k688 and the am8, which one do you think would be the perfect fit for me?
Am8 I feel would be best for female voice. 120db spl is enough unless you have whitney houston's vocal range

here on the only one store where i find both in stock, AM8 is at 80$ and the k688 at 100$ . So yeah i think it def worth the 20 bucks more ^^
Please tell me which microphone is best for me to choose up to $100? Input data: the current microphone is a t669 with a pantograph, the sound insulation of the room is 5/10, there are no sound panels (but there is a desire to purchase), an audio card is only built into the computer. Goals: voice-over of videos, recording videos on TH-cam or tick tok. Most likely in the future I will buy a sound card. Now I am most inclined to a dynamic microphone, but I am also considering condenser ones. Now the choice has fallen on 2 models from fifine: AM8 and K688. Which of these microphones should I choose, or are there better solutions?
I use the k658 for voice overs too for its superb clarity and balance. It's my main microphone I use to do voice over jobs yet as I said in the video, the k658 will not be best for singing. (RGB looks good too)
Awesome review, an annoyng thing is the video background and lighting while the head of the speaker (an awesome and very talented guy) is too low. Why? Noone told him. Again thank you for a very useful review!

If low/mid vocals, k658 or am8 depending on design preference, if high, k688.

There is a shockmount you can buy with a mic thread on it so its universal.

I had K688 and it was super quiet. I had to send it back.

All would work, yet this depends on some factors such as your mount or distance form your mouth. If desk mounted go for K688 or k658 for the shock mount.
If more than 6 inches away from your mouth get the K658

hello brother! saw your lazada review on am8 and k688! subscribed! may i ask if you replaced the foam filter for the k688 with sm7b foam clone? do you think a sm7b original foam is better than the fake one?
I have not tried the orginal/fake sm7b foam cap.
i got an aftermarket sm7b foam cap though. about half an inch thick

Does the dual output (USB & XLR) of AM8 operate alternately or can they be used simultaneously? If they can be used simultaneously, is it possible as a backup in case one of them encounters an issue? How about K688? Can the USB & XLR be used simultaneously? I appreciate your help.
My memory says they do run simultaneously. Lets me test with the K688. I no longer have the AM8 anymore

Your k688 has a white noise while listening to the monitoring output jack? The other ones have that also? because mine when i'm using the monitoring output jack, I can hear a white noise on it, that's really annoying .
my mics dont have that issue. try the mic on another device and see if its still present.

I can't hear th edifference between both so I'd say they're the same
Does the gain knob on your AM8 wobble a lot? Want to check if it's normal.
It wobbles but not a lot. I also did notice the knob wobbling
@@BiboyHaranero Thanks. Can I ask your gain and windows mic level setting? I have the gain knob at the 3 o'clock position and the windows mic level at 100.
@@Logan-lw2mn i always leave my windows mic volume at 100 then depend on the knobs for gain. :) 3 oclock position i would agree is the right gain setting to have at 2 to 4 inches away from the am8

hmmmm.... took me some time to think lol. in your case I would go for K658. pickup has less bass than the other 2 mics so if you move it close (1 inch away) to your mouth it's bass will not be overpowering.
I use the k658 on my gaming PC.

safest bet is the k658 which I use up til today. AM8 has too much bass pickup, k688 lacks gain.

Depends on use case. K658 has the clearest crispest pickup at the cost of SPL

I do all gain setting thru the knobs of my mics, never on windows.

Hello kuys kakarating lang ng am8 ko this day and balak ko sya gamitin for music livestreaming and i have audio mixer and gagamitin ko po sana yung XLR connection ng Fifine am8 ko so pano ko po mapapagana yung lights nya i mean yung connection ng usb type C saan ko po ipluplug? Pwede po ba sa charger??? Tnx
Don’t think it matters too much but a charger might give it to much power a pc or console like PlayStation or Xbox usb connection would be better

Hi. I also bought Fifine K688 but I don't know why the USBC port is not working properly. Nagpuputol putol yung boses ko and malakas yung noise. Would you know why it is like that? Thanks
Hmmm... Are you sure the k688 is what's set as your mic in use?
I've watched some of the reviews for K688 and some also have a problem using USBC. No problem with xlr. I saw the fifine replied from the comments they said its a unit defect.

Yep. I've seen another review where someone actually had his am8 close to his generator and the am8 blocked out the generator noise with ease.
