I had a bit too much fun with this art trade with the talented warriors amino memeber Jade ^^ I got so inspired that before I realised it i spent 5 hours on this thing!

ive learned so much about digital art through watching your videos; poses, skies, shading, fur, the fact that when you draw something in dim lighting its colors should be dimmed as well, just wonderful technical aspects in your art. you truly never fail to impress, aria

I've learned though self teaching and by studying life! ^^
you really learn all that by yourself? wow thats amazing!, all the time i get stuck on a draw i got frustrated but still wont give up yet.......ehemm sorry got emotional, anyway i hope i learn how to draw as pretty as you :DD
the trick is not to expect anything good. Don't draw to be good, draw to make yourself happy, draw because you have ideas you need to express and get out there. If you can't be happy being bad at it you'll never get good at it. If you really want to learn to draw start by drawing for 10-20 minutes every day (more if you're on a role but try to make it at least 10 minutes every day. switch between drawing something you like and drawing from life or photos

then get a sketch book, skills you learn with pencil and paper transfer very well to digital anyways so if you eventually get a computer you will have some basis to start from.
This artwork is absolutely stunning. The background, the shading, the lineart... all of it is beautiful. And there's so much detail, too! Wonderful artwork.

I've been drawing for about 8 to 9 years now, it's definitely a long climb to get to the point where I am now but just keep on practicing and you'll get there! Just be your own artist and do what makes you happy! That will make the years go by real fast!

When I'm coloring the fur I'm using the a slightly altered default brush tool! and no texture.

Hmm, for realism using references really is key, as well as doing studies on how cats look and move can help.
Really it just comes down to practice and junk, forge your own path my dude! There is no wrong way to do art!

I'm not sure if it is just me, but the right paw looks curved really weirdly. It's not the photo itself, its just the way the leg bends is really... wonky to me. No offense to you, of course. It is a stunning work of art and I hope to aspire to your level and eventually higher. It is art like this that makes me wish I could be sucked into a new world or place and feel the lines. Maybe I'm just weird xD
