This is a brilliant video, thank you! I don’t like the gaps with the skinny 3ch on the edges either but the only other video I’d seen just did a single turning chain and that looked like a weird extra thick treble stitch. This looks like a perfectly aligned “proper” treble stitch right along the edge, amazing!
Absolutely love your tip fir starting a new row. I've always hated the way 3 chains looked. I will be using this tip (and the halfdouble US) from now on.
Thank you! I’ve tried so many videos to get straight edges and this is the only one that explained a good alternative to “chain 3” and now I actually have a straight edge!
Wait... you don't yarn over twice to begin the stitch? I'm so confuuuuuused!! I also learned to go into the *5th* chain from my hook to begin... Is the technique different in the USA?
Wish that I had seen this tutorial before I had started my granddaughter's scarf! It looks ok-ish but definitely doesn't have the beautiful straight edges from your tutorial. Never mind, next time, eh?! Thank you for such clear instructions. I'd never have understood that from a written pattern.
I'm having trouble seeing where to put the stitch marker (I'm using Aldi wool and although it's lovely and plush, the stitches are never well defined). Will it work if I put the stitch marker in before doing the first treble of the row?
I'm confused. I'm currently learning UK treble from a paid site. (She's in the UK). She starts in the 3rd chain and uses 2 chains for the next row. How many chains if I want 10 stitches? The tutor says to do 12 chains initially and go into the 3rd chain to start. If I do your method, do I do the same, ie an extra 2 stitches in the chain but start in the 4th chain? Or will that give me one less stitch?
When I get to the end of a row I still get a gap. I understand how to start a new row without gaps but once you finish the last stitch that gap is still there. That part isn’t explained in the video. Can someone please explain?
Thank you for a great and easy to follow tutorial. Just wondering if we can apply this straight edge technique to the “chunky yarn crochet project”, like what you have done with the brown chunky cowl earlier?
It may be that your chain was a little too tight - sometimes it can be handy to go up a hook size, just for the chain itself and then switch back to your other size :)
I'm literally crying in frustration🤣🤣. I'm following what you have done and mine just isn't coming out as tidy as yours. It just doesn't look anything like what you have done. I've heard that crotchet is easier than knitting 🤣🤣 and I'm struggling to do it 🤣🤣
LOVE your techniques. So very easy to follow.
So glad you like it! 🥰
This technique is great! It looks so much better without the gaps! Thanks for sharing!
You are very good at explaining and showing the different stitches. Thank you for sharing!! 😊👍🏼💖
Thank you so much ☺️
Thank you! I like using trebles and this is the most helpful tip for keeping them straight and tight!
You are my go too as I prefer your method to get neat edges with no gaps
Thank you! 🌸
I found your play list ☺️ what a great technique for the beautiful treble crochet stitch. Thank you
Thank you so much! 🌸

Also love the stitch marker to help clarify the end of the row! Great video and I love your voice it’s so easy to listen to!
I don't understand why there are any thumbs down! Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial ❤

Oh so wonderful! So helpful! Bless you and thank you!
You’re most welcome! 🌸
Just what I needed. I hate those gaps...what a great FIX. Love you and the tutorial. I have learned so much from you.
Love your way of deleting space
Great! Your explanations are straight and clear. Thank you very much 😊
Excellent. I love the way this keeps from having a gap.
Thank you so much! Just the information I needed. At last straight edges and no gaps
I know this is an older video, but I have to give you a big thumbs. I love this stitch but I hated the gap. Thank you so much

Hi Stacy, so glad it has been helpful!
Thank you! I’ve tried so many videos to get straight edges and this is the only one that explained a good alternative to “chain 3” and now I actually have a straight edge!
Yay! So glad it was helpful 💗
Wait... you don't yarn over twice to begin the stitch? I'm so confuuuuuused!! I also learned to go into the *5th* chain from my hook to begin... Is the technique different in the USA?
Yes. This is an English treble. US treble is different.

Love your videos ,can you do one showing the shell stitch
This is the first tutorial I can trust
Love blossom crochet
I've learned so much from watching your videos! Thank you!
This is amazing! Thank you. Do you do the same beginning stitch on a double crochet row please?
I'm having trouble seeing where to put the stitch marker (I'm using Aldi wool and although it's lovely and plush, the stitches are never well defined). Will it work if I put the stitch marker in before doing the first treble of the row?
Thank you . You explain it really well.
You have helped me so much thank you 😇
Love the turning stitch at 5 minutes - I’ll be coming back to this part again and again to get it right!!!

Great tutorial! Thank you.
Thank you so much 😊.
May our lord Jesus bless you and all your family. Amen ❤

Yes, you absolutely can! :)
Blossom Crochet Thank you for replying to my message. ☺️ I tried it and it came out looking good. 🎉😊
Thank you I needed to know that x
You’re so welcome 🌸
Very wonderful😘
Good work!
Thank you for this tip!
Great video. However, what am I doing wrong? It has a curved bottom where the original chain is.
It may be that your chain was a little too tight - sometimes it can be handy to go up a hook size, just for the chain itself and then switch back to your other size :)
Thanks for the extra help
I purchase the Red Heart brand. As a beginner it's not the best. Can you recommend a better brand?
Hi Katrina, sometimes it's easier to use a chunky yarn when you're starting out and I love Paintbox yarns :)
I'm literally crying in frustration🤣🤣. I'm following what you have done and mine just isn't coming out as tidy as yours. It just doesn't look anything like what you have done.
I've heard that crotchet is easier than knitting 🤣🤣 and I'm struggling to do it 🤣🤣
Yarn details please
2 rows po ba talaga yung sa treble crochet?
Brilliant 👌🏼

I think I need ultra zoom in or something. It's so hard to see what you're meaning :(
That final stitch should be pretty obvious. Using stitch markers seems a bit time consuming and clumbsy.
Tfs 💖
This is double crotchet not treble
This is a treble UK . A double in USA
Confusing ugh
