Confederation in the Miao Ying video section: There does come a time when you should confederate when they are collapsing. I'm playing it now as Zhao Ming and confederated Miao Ying as she was getting her butt kicked and not helping the effort at all. Right now it's Just me and the eastern faction left. The one in the south and all of the factions in the north had fallen. It's cool having two dragons!
It also depends on WHICH ogre faction you're giving diplomatic relations to. Greasus is a pretty good example. If not, most caravans can hold out against any ogre attacks except ambushes which forces you in a line formation. Rule of thumb though is to always pick the Great Cannon caravans. Watch how easily two of them can snipe a lord or any Ogre unit.
With the full release looming, all I can think about is SFO. Vanilla is fine, but I need some change. You should consider making some videos about it and how it alters the base game.

Caravans: Is it easier to feed your troops to the Ogres? Every time I play it I don't do that and my caravans eventually get wiped out.
if they are bad units ofc, i sacrifice peasants most of the time, because it cleans the caravan too,and then u can add stronger units through events
