Intersting to see how it works up there in the US ! Here in france asphalt is called "enrobés", around 140° C loaded at the plant. The pavement machine is called a "finisher" and our 6x4 (13T to 15T load) or 8x4 (18T to 20T load) trucks are different, not "long nose" but "flat nose", not so stylish as yours ! I didn't recognize what kind of finisher model it was on the job site, but sure a damn fast one !
The paver was a Cat model. We were putting down a base “wedge” so it’s able to put it down pretty fast. The next day we would come back and put down the surface layer. Thanks for the comment! It’s nice to hear from the other side and how things are done.
