Industrial power generation expert Kristian Vekas explains how they took all the successfully tried and tested features from Volvo Penta's genset platform and created a more powerful unit while reducing fuel consumption.

Great, improvement. We hope to see also the D20 in the near future, that will cover more applications ( Trucks, power gensets, marine .... etc),
This guy sound like a bond villain 🦹
When will we see this engine in trucks and construction machinery?
Were did you manufacture this engine , Sweden or Germany?
I sailed on several cargo vessels around the world. If there was a Volvo genset on board, you knew that your sleeping time was limited till the next alarm. Damaged injectors, turbocharger, coolingwater issues were standard. IMO 8811950 had the worst Volvo's in the 90's that even the Volvo mechanics created headaches.
Thanks for your videos. Can you explain to me how I can improved the fuel efficiency of my Volvo Penta generator? 1. Engine Model: TWD 1010G x 024 310645
2. SPEC. NO. 868368
3. SERIAL NO. 21003106
It’s consuming more diesel than other generators I have. Thanks.

Kind regards,
Volvo Penta
Ok cool, but how much power does it provide? Load vs. fuel? What’s it weigh? So much information missing…..
The turbo is larger than the man's head. I'd say it has plenty of power to do anything it wants.
China ?
