@@Zer0basscovers if i (want to) showcase a bass line, most of the times i have the mix accordingly, meaning it is a different mix from the actual song. That is if we are talking an original. If i am playing to a playback track, i treat that in the same manner. You might wanna check my humble channel for examples. Let me know what you think, mate!
Mixing the original song with my bass has been a struggle for me. I have over 700 videos, and you'd think I'd have figured it out by now. When I listen to the playback in my headphones, things sound pretty good. It's when I upload to youtube that I notice the bass track needs to come up a bit. I try to bring my bass to the forefront, but depending on the original song mix, it is overpowering the song quite often. I have also been using a few different amp sims, and each has its own recording quirks to deal with. Anyhow, thanks for stopping by, and I'll check out your channel. Cheers!
