Keeping up with trends can be so expensive. Much easier to be aware of your own style and change out the accent pieces over time to stay up to date. Great video! Love to hear about the trends!
I agree! I used to live in Nashville and called on designers as a carpet saleswoman. One designer told me, “if you buy what you like and always buy quality, it will be beautiful and timeless”.
Now I need an arch. Love all of these styles. Katie Rosenfeld is my favorite... I have been haunting her designs because she is unapologetically cottage core... with a maximalista flair. I think everyone can gleem some inpiration here... great video!
I love your channel. I love that you are not biased to any one design but always so excited to share styles that we can all incorporate into our homes. Thank you for sharing!
Design trends have become incredibly fickle thanks to social media so remember to always keep that in mind when tackling a space. I 100% agree that everyone should do what they love in their home but don't expect any of these styles to stick around long term. I hate to say that but influencers have become so competitive that they're always chasing the newest/latest design. Create a space that brings you contentment. 💖
I recently went furniture shopping and I saw things 😢that scared me that I never want to see again! I couldn't even put them into interior design categories!
I'm from the generation when marching everything was in style, and I think it's wonderful that the trend is coming back! You've made my day😊 Thank you, Jennifer.
I remember matching drapes and wallpaper and I liked it! I think it reminds me of a simpler time. I also decorated with bedding and drapes that matched.
I love paint drenching but as a wife of a realtor that flips houses, I’ve done tons of painting trim! It’s not fun 😆 The thought of having to paint it back is daunting. With that being said - anyone wanting to do this- do a neutral color that you love and can live with for a long time unless you are up for the task of painting or you can pay someone when you’re up for a change.
Matching wallpaper to drapes! Never thought that would come back. I personally think the examples you showed were great. Not sure I would go there again though.
Love this video and my house has arches and I love them! Love Venetian plaster and the texture it brings! I have a Craftsman house and it’s fun to decorate! Please do a video on accent things that we can add to 2025 decor! Thank you for the video and I’m excited to do some changes!🥳🥳🥳
I have always loved matching wallpaper and drapes/curtains. Arches are beautiful. Never heard of "paint drenching" but it looks very nice. Textured ceilings and walls...well, I've been there before. Cottagecore to me is a combination of country/colonial. Warm and inviting.
Hi JENNIFER, I am definitely not ready for the wallpaper, drapes and furniture to match. Some of those are really out there. Some of them are a little less and more low-key, however it’s not my thing for sure. I do love your style. The cottage look is beautiful and so cozy. I love watching you. I’ve been watching you for a about three or four years. You’re very inspiring and a very sweet lady. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks for the brief trend update. I love the arches and the maximalist flooring trend. The maximalist matchy-matchy walls and drapes trend? Not so much. It took me years to find my eclectic style and bury the wallpaper and matching drapery and my 1965 built home is not going back.😅
My 1935 house is full-on cottagecore and I absolutely love it. With a mixture of antiques, one of kind architectural details, and surprising modern accents, it is 100% fabulous. I have tried to find some of my pieces online, and can’t locate any. My kitchen island is likely unique. It has two deep round bottom drawers, two flat bottom drawers on top of that, a lower shelf, marble top, and casters on the bottom to make it portable. I haven’t seen another like it. Jennifer, if you know what these round bottom drawers would have been used for, let me know.
I enjoyed watching the 2025 trends. The wall coverings with matching drapes really caught my interest. I might try a bedroom. Thanks for sharing your information.
All these trends are reappearances of earlier styles and I think they are all lovely. Wallpaper has been a feature of fine homes for centuries, and the cottage core movement is a more refined version of the black and white modern farmhouse style we’re all so tired of now. A well designed house at any point in time will look “dated” sooner or later but it will still be beautiful. Thanks for doing this video Jennifer… plus ça change, plus c’est la méme chose….
We are getting ready to do the lower half of the bathroom walls with the panels. Looking forward to it. I don’t think I could live with the wall and curtain match. I would get tied of it very fast. Thanks for sharing these design trends. Very interesting
Very good information! I have to pass on the matching wallpaper & furniture. But I think I am on track for the other trends. I love the arches, but that's not a practical re-model for me. Maybe I can find some arch shaped pieces to use on the walls instead of rectangular pictures.
Cottagecore only works in semi rural and rural locations. It looks out of place and ridiculous in suburbia, desert, coastal and lake locations. Textured wall / ceiling treatments work best in houses with high ceilings and have spaciousness. Treating an 8'foot ceiling with timber planks will just appear to lower the ceiling. Again, location matters. If you live in a modest neighbourhood, Venetian / Roman plaster and limewash will be out of context. When l like a trend, l take an element to incorporate - it could be a single chair or lamp, planter, wall art, throw blanket or cushion. This strategy avoids ostentatious pretence and is easily rotated / adapted to other spaces in my home.
When did arches and lime wash go OUT of style? lol Sounds like my home is becoming "trendy" again. Glad I waited out the whole black white and gray farmhouse trend.
I like arches and cottage core but not a fan of any of the others. Paint drenching looks like you're lazy, curtains and wallpaper matching - no way, not going back to that.
I have watched many, many interior designed trends videos, and this one is so well articulated and defined as well as having very meaningful examples.
Well, thank you so much! And, thank you for watching.

Called trends for a reason. Lol. Good taste is never a trend. Trends come and go. Good taste is always right!

Great take on all the trends. My favorite is cottage core. A more simple stress-free life is something I'm working towards in the New Year.
Same here! Thrifted, antique, well-loved 😊 I'm in! ❤
Loved this video and cottagecore design. Great job Jennifer.
Love the arches!!
I love your channel. I love that you are not biased to any one design but always so excited to share styles that we can all incorporate into our homes. Thank you for sharing!
Great ideas Jennifer. Thanks for the great info

I'm from the generation when marching everything was in style, and I think it's wonderful that the trend is coming back! You've made my day😊 Thank you, Jennifer.
I did Sanderson wallpaper and curtains in 1980 I loved it. Glad it's back.
Love love love the matching wallpaper and drapes!! ❤️❤️❤️
I always, have thought that is so put together..this started in the 1960s .
I love these looks. So homey and cottage looking.
I'm all in for the wallpaper! And also, the floor coverings! This is gonna be a great year!!
I remember matching drapes and wallpaper and I liked it! I think it reminds me of a simpler time. I also decorated with bedding and drapes that matched.
Absolutely 💯

Yes! I'd love to do it but I'm afraid it would go out of style in a couple of years...and so much work!
Matching wallpaper to drapes! Never thought that would come back. I personally think the examples you showed were great. Not sure I would go there again though.
Seems like my mother and grandmother's things all matched. I wouldn't go back either.

Thanks Jennifer! Love seeing what’s new on the decor horizon. 💗
Thank you for the tips, Jennifer.
Love them❤
Love almost all of it.

Great coverage with examples of the 2025 trends!

I'm really enjoying 2025 design already; some of these seem like yester-year coming back, and I am excited about those missed designs.

I’m into the matching walls and drapes ❤
Very good trends and good combinations❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Curved door ways is just a way to hit your head
Thank you for sharing

Thank you Jennifer!
You are welcome!
Thank you very much for your tips inspiration design ideas🥰🥰
Love my cottage cozy home. No wallpaper and drape matching in my home! My home has vintage items coordinated with family heirlooms and DIY. 🙂
Matchy Matchy, never never. I don't do trends. I appreciate the video, but I do what makes me happy.
Very good information! I have to pass on the matching wallpaper & furniture. But I think I am on track for the other trends. I love the arches, but that's not a practical re-model for me. Maybe I can find some arch shaped pieces to use on the walls instead of rectangular pictures.
Im 62. Cottagecore is my favorite! ✋🏻
Nice to see bedskirts bring used again. Am I that old . 😂??
Thank you Jennifer ❤ I'm a maximalist, but no matching wallpaper and drapes😂 this was fun
Oh, I so agree! Too much patterns for me!
Gossip for me. How easy it was to slide into that trap. I still struggle sometimes.
Great video though However. I prefer timeless style to following trends and fads. Definitely no to wallpaper for me.
Your microphone is definitely peaking. I suggest you lower the gain on it.
What is the latest trend on wood floor colors?
❤
Like the match stick blinds but not wanting curtains so guess that not going to happen you can see threw the blinds at night .
You can order the blinds with a fabric lining.
I grew up with matching wallpaper and curtains. I just can't do it.
I know, seems like if we have done it before, we don't want to go back!
❤️👍🏻
Jenn I love farmhouse any ideals for 2025

Matching walls 🧱 and windows 🪟 is an absolute No for me ! Just because it's trending or back in style doesn't mean it looks good❗️😳🚩

TH-cam information. Laissez-moi savoir maintenant beaucoup d'information. Je vous encourage.

Why is she talking to us like we’re kindergartners?
NO matching walls and drapes! An ugly blur of overkill.
Not a fan.
These so called trends for 2025 are garbage. Is there nothing else the marketing magicians could come up with?
I do not like paint drenching. I think it looks cheap and unimaginative.
Agreed
