  • I was challenged by an 80 Year Old Granny for a Sword Fight in India! Guess who won?
Age is just a number and Meenakshi Gurukkal is real evidence of that, she is one of the oldest female gurus practicing the Indian Martial Art, Kalaripayattu, known as Kalari. Meenakshi Gurukkal has been teaching this art for more than 50 years, it is the oldest existing martial arts in India dating back to 3,000 years old.
I hope you enjoyed the video, Much love and God bless!

There were many Arabs who did explore India during the spice trade time. You won't believe it, it started from ancient times. Even the pharaoh pyramid has spices from India, must be from Kerala considering the sea port existed at that time. Khalid's brilliance is in presenting them the way we like it.

    • @hemarajn1676

@AnoopFran Brother, thank you for the information of usage of spices in the ancient time. My own Kozhikode district had trade links with Arab countries in the ancient period. The present Wayanad district had been part of Kozhikode district prior to 1980. Wayanad is one of the main producer of Cardamom. The present Idukki district is also a major producer. So there is no doubt that the Cardamom found in the Pyramid is from Kerala.

@atlasatlantic5396 She is 80. She moves well for her age. Secondly, martial art practice were banned during British colonization as they considered them a threat after Kottayathu War. Penalty to practice it was death if not exile. A sort of revival took place around 1920 but in limited form and only as performing art . Meaning they were not allowed to continue for real fighting. Blocking the evolution as well as imparting and properly practicing already existing techniques. If it didn't work, they would not have been worried.

Indian monk bodhisattva had travelled to China and had established the shaolin temple there and introduced Kung Fu ...the kalaripattu expert from South India is the father of shaolin temple and martial arts and Kung Fu, which flourished in China.. This style of fighting was later banned and this warrior art form was banned by the British when they colonised India and so, now only a handful like meenakshi amma still carry on this art form. This art form has hence unfortunately declined in India over time.
