Yes everyone and their dog should have a classic. I have a spartan, great set up, and a huntsman, which is my outdoor/hiking knife of choice. Couple quick stories, wife and I rented a cabin for a vacation, I took a bottle of wine, only to find no cork screw in the cabin. Had I been carrying a SAK I could have saved the day, but alas I was not. Another instance at my daughters birthday a few years ago, needed a can opener for some dip or something, once again, no SAK to save the day, but luckily my dad has always carried one, so he saved the day. Lesson learned. Always carry a SAK. At least in a pouch or somewhere if not in your pocket. Great edc tools.
Love my Hiker! Absolutely a solid loadout! I definitely recommend it for anyone doing anything outdoors, and it's a great starter for kids in the outdoors too!
Great video! I definitely need to pick up a model with the pliers sometime to try out. So many options, really is a model that will fit the need for anyone.
Currently I have Victorinox Classic SD in my Altoids EDC kit. Now I am planning to buy Victorinox Compact to keep in it but will Compact fit in Altoids tin ? I am asking this because Compact is 91 mm in length
I've used it on wood, plastic, and to file off burs from aluminum, iron, and some pig metals either to handle safer or to precision clean after using my angle grinder

They always seem to be there to save the day! There really is no beating the utility in such a convenient package!
Just got my new Hiker in today

Nice quick summary of SAKs. Thanks.
There's are so many features and other models out there, that I hope I did it justice. Glad you enjoyed it!
I need a flamethrower on mine because reasons
Those are the best reasons, really.
Excellent video. I think my favorite is the Super Tinker, but I love my Camper too.
Both super solid choices!
Awesome selection of Swiss army knives. Great video sir!
Thank you!

The pliers are a must for me these days. Not gonna loosen any car lug nuts with these, but pretty useful just the same!
Cool video..Thank you for the tag!
Thanks! The Tinker rides with me in my car now, so it's never too far away. Always a solid carry!
I usually carry a Pioneer or a Climber.
Both great choices!
I'm about 50/50 on a compact and an Explorer with plus scales. Plus scales are a must for me.
I really need to pick up the Compact at this point! And I swap plus scales on pretty much everything now 😁

Have you used the file on a knife blade or other metals.
I've used it on wood, plastic, and to file off burs from aluminum, iron, and some pig metals either to handle safer or to precision clean after using my angle grinder
Thanks
All of them lol
I absolutely want to pick up more... always hard to say no when there's a sale...
