If you want another non-Farley/non-Sandler movie starring David Spade, I highly recommend checking out
      Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star
Definitely doesn't get the love and recognition it deserves

Another underrated David Spade gem is Disney's animated film, The Emperor's New Groove. It co-starred John Goodman, and had one of Patrick Warburton's most iconic characters, bar none. It's Disney, but it's not like what you'd expect of a Disney story. It's like the black sheep among Disney's other titles at the time, but in a good way.

Interestingly enough the phrase "Life's a Garden, Dig It" feels a lot like the moral of Voltaire's Candide. Sometimes known as Candide: The Optimist. "We must Cultivate Our Garden" It might be safe to say that Joe Dirt is a White-Trash Candide, he goes from one unfortunate set of circumstances to the next, meets a lot of unusual characters. And by the end of it he is reunited with the girl he left behind and a great number of the people he met along the way.

Another example that David Spade headline as the lead actor was in a Disney movie along with John Goodman called: "The Emperor's New Groove"

This is one of my favorite movies. mIve always rocked a mullet and many people throughout the years have called me Joe Dirt, to my delight. My pops wore a mullet and I do too. Ya;lls reaction was great but after seeing ya'lls cobra kai reactions, I expect that.

Joe Dirt is great. I used to rewatch it all the time. It's silly, it's smart, it's wholesome, and it pulls of the emotional moments very well.

I always thought of this as a silly movie, but rewatching after some time has passed, I was correct, but also, you can see the inspiration for Sium Dog and The Ricky Gervais show. You mentioned Slum Dog, but for Ricky's show, that's what it is -- he's interviewing an oddly interesting, traditionally weird, employee at work.

Based on your recent proclivity for watching films with sibling relationships, may I suggest you add the 2001 film "Say It Isn't So" to your watch list. I feel like the comedy is right up your alley!

Have y'all seen It's a Wonderful Life? I'm surprised y'all didn't react to it. A few other reactors did and they loved it. It's past Christmas but better late than never. It's one of the all time great movies. And the main character in it has some do good characteristics like Joe Dirt but is of course a lot more complicated of a character. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it! Also, it's not really that much of a Christmas movie in the grand scheme of the story so you are good to watch anytime.

"It puts the Joe Dirt in the hole" and Walken is a great addition to this movie. Fun fact, the cop at Clem's house after the "mob hit" was Chris Farley's brother.

I fucking love this movie! If it wasn’t for this movie I don’t think I would have made it through life. Because a lot of his quotes about seeing the bright side or powering through bad situations helped me.

Living in LA all my life, I've met a few celebrities. Not a lot, but a few. David Spade is NOT one of the celebrities I've met, but back when I was in my 20s and 30s and went out to a lot of clubs and bars fairly frequently, it seemed like half the places I went, the bartender or waitress would say, "Oh, yeah. David Spade comes in here all the time." Though he was never there when I was. So I don’t know if they were telling the truth or if "David Spade" was just the designated celebrity name they all agreed to drop to make their place sound hip and cool. I quit drinking years ago, so I guess I'll never know...

Thanks y’all for watching this wonderful movie! David Spade was great in the 1994 comedy PCU.
