Zestial being the longest standing and oldest of the Overlords alone makes his character so interesting, but the fact that he isn’t as forceful and domineering as some of the others makes it feel like he doesn’t 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 to flex his power or anything. Him simply having a conversation with Alastor was enough to traumatize some lessers into offing themselves. And he has such a levelheaded approach… him being a spider fits so well. A methodical, patient, yet fiercely efficient hunter… i can’t wait to get more info on him
There’s a theory out there that in his living days Zestial was an info broker. For some reason that’s making me want to hear Ingelheart do a cover of the song “heard it through the grapevine”.
i love the way he talks, it’s so melodic yet sinister, even if he doesn’t say anything overtly violent or cruel (besides “i do revel in the screams”). he gives old money, classy aristocrat vibes. him and carmilla are so cute together.
Well, Viv said that the overlords will be more important in season 2 so he’ll have to get more screen time, especially considering the amount of love he gets and the amount of uncovered lore he has
Zestial is my favourite character in the whole show and i hope that with season 2 we get to see more of him and get a more indepth pook at Zestie and the other characters (i didn't feel like got to know them really or have enough time world building and understanding the relationship between the characters like Charlie and Vaggie for example)
