You have a very light & fun way of teaching. I love it! I started in Ceramics as a teacher in the mid 70"s. I'm so happy to see you doing TH-cam videos to keep
this art thriving & growing! Thanks!
You are a great teacher.
Thank you so much for your generous teaching. You are very inspirational and gifted. I love the way you blend your military life with beautiful, natural, whimsical elements.
Hi Jess! This is the first time I noticed you are an AF veteran! Thank you for your service! My husband is a retired AF medic and I'm retired Army! I initially began learning pottery at our craft shop, here at Ft. Huachuca! Anyway, I appreciate your videos, because I'm working on my own home studio a lot more, so that I can do more work at home! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. You do a great job of breaking things down and explaining all the different pieces of the process. I also love the templates ideas. I'll be looking forward to other videos.
I'm working on a grueling paper for a special certification. When I need a break, I go to one of your videos. Their informational, pleasant, and relaxing. Maybe one day I'll actually get some clay and do something. So thanks.
You are a real teacher. I am learning and enjoying every one of your demonstrations .
thank you very much Jessica. Thank you taught me so much. I discovered a new you.
Imagine being on the hospital bed (due to leukemia), and looking at your channel and wishing that one day, with his friend, he could have such a workshop and such a teacher.
Thank you, Jessica, for no music; a clear view of what is being done; no arbitrary point-of-view changes; excellent enunciation; making good use of used materials; a pleasant demeanor; funny little quips; suggestions for alternative methods and materials; and staying on point and in context. This is how instructional videos should be made.
I would like tapered edges. How to do that?
Chamfering the edge of the pressing-disk would reduce, if not eliminate, the line left on the plate. Or, just use a plain disk sized to fit the cups that will be used with the saucers.
Your facial expressions are delightful! Altogether good work.
I'm glad you didn't have music in the background. Sometimes I can't understand exactly what the videographer is saying because of too loud music.
Couldnt agree more....
reecee'spieces101 I completely understand that. Without the music it creates a more focused teaching environment!
Yes, no background music. I can concentrate better.
I’m sure you have videos on decorating pieces. If not, do some please.
EXELENTE!!!!!!
Thank you very much :) I enjoyed that you did NOT have music. You did a Great job of showing and explaining to us how you make your items. I like your work :)
You are a natural at exposition. Television and movie execs call that gift "Q", it is something special that cannot easily be defined, but people know it when they see it. ☺
Thanks from Turkey, Bodrum. We love you and appreciate you efforts to
teach us
Hello back, from Canada, I love when people post their country. It is like we are all hanging out together. Fun. ;) 🇨🇦

you have open up a new world-thanks
Great demo video! Embarking on a project to make a dinnerware service for eight. Thank you!
Really well explained..............love your videos!
Had to comment...the wood disk you’re using looks like it should be a jar lid and that makes me think that many other jar lids would be great... thanks for inspiring me to think outside the box. My daughter-in-law just shared with me that she used a fruit net for a design... like you might get lemons in. I’m going to try it.
A jar lid certainly would work and the fruit netting does make fabulous textures! :)
Excellent video class, Thank you very much. Will have to try this in my next lesson.
You are amazing, and what an inspiration! I will share your video with other wanna-be potters and a couple of real ones, too lol.
I thought I would also share something with you - Just a little true story regarding clay. I work at a school and one of the classes I am in is a pottery class. I took pottery many years ago, when I was in a similar class in high school. When the head teacher of the class was ill, the sub was my high school pottery teacher! I cannot tell you how incredible it was to be taken back to a much younger state of mind, lol. Needless to say, I cried when he made a bowl for me as a gift. I know it's a rather dorky little story, but I thought you might like it :-).
Watching you and your friendly and cheerful style is delightful and really appreciated. Thank you so much!
I'm just getting into clay and I've not felt this excited about being creative in a long time. This is a fab vid and I'll def be subscribing.
love the new format
Thanks for sharing. Loved watching.
