Nah. The main issue with the anime was the unnecessary changes and the cut content. I personally liked the animation and art I didn't see an issue with it, but I guess since GOH got animated by Mappa a lot of people are complaining and bitchin'.

Part 2 was super good too but you are comparing a finished part with a ongoing one. And ik im not the only one who think this. On reddit im pretty sure 80% of the people agree that part 3 has been good with an exception of some arcs that were a bit inferior but nothing unexpected tbh. Not all can be good

This manhwa/webtoon so underrated, people need to read this. A lot of character, good plot, MC Development is so good. I Mean this manhwa have many mysterious thing like OP. Even there is a lot mystery from the MC that still we don't know, such as :
1. Who is Bam father
2. Why Bo Pidau Hate his father
3. Why his parent abandoned him
4. Where is his parent
5. How strong his parent
6. Why they climb the tower
7. How can they come to the tower
8. How can MC have a such Great talent
9. How can Bo Pidau recognize Bam
10. Why Zahaard Want to kill Bam
And lot more
SPOILERS FOR THE STORY AHEAD
#1 and Bam's father is 'V', the 13th of the original irregulars who entered the tower. He fell in love with Arlene (Bam's mother), stuff happened, he died, she killed herself, and the others became nigh-immortal gods.
#2 While we don't know for sure why Po Bidau hated V, we have been given hints as to why Lo Po Bia did.
#3 Bam was killed as an infant soon after V was killed. Arlene wandered the tower for decades clutching her dead child before she found a hole to outside the Tower, and chucked his corpse to be with the 'god beyond the Tower' hoping that he would be returned to life eventually and take vengeance for what happened to his parents. Then she killed herself.
#4 They're both dead.
#5 They were both extremely talented irregulars. When it came to compressing Shinsu, it was said that nobody even among the other 13 were close to V. And simply the fact that they were both some of the original irregulars speaks to their monumental power.
#6 We don't really know why they decided to climb the Tower yet. Prolly cause Headon told them to find their dreams up there lol, just trust the weird hermit.
#7 They were irregulars, they just opened the door for themselves. That's the definition of what an irregular is.
#8 He was the child of two of the most powerful beings to ever enter the Tower, and spent a couple thousand years outside the Tower being revived by some mysterious God Beyond the Tower, so there are plenty of reasons why.
#9 Bam's kind of famous in the Tower, and even if he weren't, Po Bidau is a freaking Family Head. Who knows what kind of connections the guy has. Also, he can probably sense Bam's potential just like Mazino did and connect two and two together.
#10 Jahad/Zahaard likely views Bam as a threat to his peace. It could also be that he wants to nip the potential for Arlene-V's revenge in the bud before Bam can fulfill their dream. Or some other reason that we just don't know yet.

And, pls fans of Mazino Urek, we already understood that he beats Bam just by looking at him!! @@aliceuchiha3484 Man. You misunderstood me. I said, early TOG wasn't that good. The author was still in his phase trying to find the right style for his drawing and the story hasn't really established itself yet until later part of the story where the lore has finally taken place properly.
I'm talking about the Webtoon. I'm responding to this guy's comment in which he indirectly talk shit about the animation. The animation was great. I don't know what this guy smoking just because a short fanmade has much fluid animation doesn't mean it do well in a real setting where you need to plan a whole season compared to a short fanmade clip.
C'mon season 1 of anime was great! The art-style was amazing and the music even better. It's always possible to complain but if crunchyroll produces a season 2 with the same team I'll be happy ^^

And well, honestly, the game will make more money than the anime, so of course there will be more money put. But that doesn't excuse the team's incompetence to understand what they were adapting, that is just like Tate no Yuusha, same case of someone adapting something they don't understand.

Considering they cut important scenes in season 1, i dont think theres a season 2 which is kinda sad. I just cant imagine them continuing a season 2 with a rewrite plot and not make it awkward to explain the next season considering the lost scenes in season 1.
The fact they cut out important things like the explanation of Shinsu and stuff, so you have no idea what was happening if you didn't read the source material.
They even destroyed some character's, like my man Leeso, who is a tactical genius and simply became a dumb comic relief.
S2 trailer just released
It seems that South Korea side and Japan studio couldn't come to agreement very well. Unless South Korea government or their investors itself invested and expand their interest in animation. Coz most of the webtoon already had the quality to be adapted.
Now that we are like a month out from seeing this fight in S2. I actually have to thank the studio for changing the art style to closer to these fan animations, obviously still different, but it was a purposeful choice done to please fans a lot of people don't even realize, just that it's different from s1 because of the manwha being different. Genuinely though, it looks like the animators went out of their way to also make it feel similar to these fans ones, which is a love letter to all fans. Hype is coming soon🙂
