I feel like the boom designs work on Amy and tails cause they fit their personality, knuckles makes me feel uncomfortable and for sonic, I will admit that he’a more expressive but that’s it I don’t like the design of boom sonic. Eggman is 50/50, on the 1 hand it feels like Eggman but on the other it doesn’t. In terms of personality I feel like almost all of them say for Eggman and Knuckles defines or improves on the original characters. I would prefer Eggman to smart, sinister , and serious (like the unleashed version and sometimes forces Eggman) rather than a Saturday morning cartoon villain and I would prefer knuckles to be Sonic X knuckles, not giving any fucks until he has to fight or gets angry.

The Sonic Boom series was such a wasted opportunity. So much potential that never really got used. The show was great and it's a real shame that it never got it's dues of praise until after it was canned.
+Ganondork I personally blame Christina Miller, president of Cartoon Network. She's deliberately refused to give the proper screentime and advertising to any CN show that isn't Toddler Titans, but Boom is the one I care about the most.

@@FlyingDuckMan360 I mean, it's probably what's gonna happen at this point, we've got so much TTG oversaturation at this point that it's just kinda sad. The show would've honestly not have bugged me so much if it was a show with a normal airtime but they just had to push it so much that it has run for so long and for so much of the time that it has 6 seasons,2 movies, andway too many specials and counting. Infinity Train got shafted to Max and so did Summer Camp Island, the continuation of AT has fully been on there, and I'm sure Mao Mao will make it onto there for the majority of its time running too with how little CN has pushed the show. HBO Max is probably the future of CN shows that CN regularly doesn't push as much. I only hope that that means that OK KO can get a revival there since they did revive AT and give a continuation to SU (probably unlikely though since CN refuses to admit that they cancelled the show and that the show is actually over).

I remember the episode with Mark the Tapir (who was more of a poke at obsessive fans in general rather than Chris Chan), but when did they poke fun at Penders?
@@geoffreyrichards6079 In the episode "Eggman's brother" they reference Ken's illogical restriction that no Sonic characters can have any type of relative because he wrote so many for them already in the comics. Morpho makes a joke about this by saying he isn't really Eggman's brother as he said earlier and then goes on for a few seconds explaining how he isn't related to anyone at all (th-cam.com/video/brdQNwzjeR4/w-d-xo.html you can see it here at 8:27). It's kinda subtle and you'd only notice it if you already knew about it, but considering the Boom comic also made fun of him by making Knuckles wear a bunch of hats (Ken also said characters weren't allowed to have accessories, or something along those lines, but he only said Knuckles wasn't allowed to wear "A" hat, not "multiple at once", so they used a loophole to get around that) then it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think it's also a reference.

It's more likely spoofing the idea of lookalike siblings in general, whether it be the "long-lost sibling" cliche or the lazy designs. And the thing with Knuckles' hat seems kinda weird when the OVA had him wearing a hat as well.

I was wondering why the show reminds us every time we see Steve, several times per episode that "he's not (his) brother, he's a shape-shifting robot built by (him) in an alternate dimension" I thought it was just for kids who just caught this random episode and had no idea who Steve was, and it may be, but that gives it an extra layer. Also explains why Sticks is the only one with a confirmed relative, since she's exclusive to Boom.
FYI the Groomer is only on the thumbnail. Groomsmodore is no where to be found in the video.

@@AlpsBulky this is pretty late but TH-cam has a system where creators can go back in videos to edit parts after being uploaded (as far as I can tell, I might be wrong) which is how he cut out Cosmo's parts, as for the lack of a thumbnail change, it's probably because there was no point. Cosmo's off TH-cam, they arnt associated anymore, and he doesn't appear in the video.

Welcome to the Sonic Fandom, where people bitch about a redesign to the point getting mad for Sonic's arms being colored (even though Sonic's arm does a color, otherwise his arm would be white or he would be Rayman)
I didn't mind the redesigns at all. I mean, ok, not sure WHY knuckles is suddenly overly tall and buff, but it looks just fine. However the fact the show is just a basic comedy where any episode with a conflict is just beyond basic and others are just jokes is like a leftover from the teen titans go era which for some reason is STILL AIRING.

I absolutely love this series. The entire thing. One of my favourite shows in general of all time, I think it’s severely underrated

Sonic Boom deserved better. It really did.
It's a DAMN SHAME that the two prequel games overshadowed the Archie book and especially the TV show due to their poor reception. If you look at Boom as a hole, it's really not that bad at all; half of what it offers is good (TV Show, Archie book, Fire and Ice, Dash 2), the other half. . .wellyougettheidea. I argue that most of what Boom offered was rock solid, and was slowly improving over time when it was still active.
Season 2 of the show is where Boom was indeed really starting to find its footing. I mean for fuck sake, the show actually was nominated a good few time and won some awards because of how good it is; depite the piss poor treament from Cartoon Network (which I'll never forgive them for that) in the U.S, it was actually doing really well in other countries, so why stop here?!? Why stop a show that (I can safely say) most Sonic fans adore?! It was honestly a mistake that SEGA put the show on Cartoon Network, a channel at the time that really only cared about that one show that I will not name because it's been talked about to death. . .and they still to a degree.
Sonic Boom still has so much untapped potential. . .and I really want it to reach that potential. It has proven that it can improve. . .and it can get even better if it comes back. . .which there is a possibility that it will:

Here's the thing about Bill Frieburger; yes, the people behind the show has indeed disbanded. HOWEVER. Bill Frieburger actually did state that even though they're no longer involved with Boom, that DOESN'T mean they won't be back for a 3rd season and beyond. So. . .there's that.
With that in mind, there's is a possibility to bring it back. How? . . .the recent DVD and digital releases of the show. Sonic Boom now has two DVDs out currently (and possibly more that we don't know of yet), and is also available in its entirety digitally on iTunes and Amazon. If guys want to see Boom come back as much as I do, speak with your wallet and GO BUY THESE RIGHT NOW! It worked with Family Guy, it could work here. Not saying that it's a 100% guarantee that this will work, but it's worth a shot, and really. . .you never really know with the Sonic franchise; it's unpredictable at this point. I would love to see more come out of Boom, not just the show.

I 100% agree. I'm very, very sad that the show was overshadowed by the games due to the terrible reception it received. Although I agree that the games were bad, the show is far better than the games in terms of writing. I never gave the Sonic Boom comics a chance because at the time, I was avoiding them after reading about the whole Ken Penders situation between SEGA and Archies that made me dislike that guy. People who were avoiding the show and the comics really never gave them a chance. :(

I actually liked this show, it's not ground breaking or anything, but it's a fun way to kill some time when you're bored. One thing I found really funny was the dynamic between Eggman and the rest of the characters. One minute he's trying to destroy them the next he's out shopping like a regular person and no one seems to mind.

Chris Thorndykes existence disagrees with you heavily
SatAM has its share of flaws, but it deserves props for what it tried achieving back then. It had a good cast of characters, a surprisingly bleak tone for a children's series, and a cool fantasy/sci-fi setting to explore. Had the show been made in the early-mid 2000s, it probably would've been more successful.
The only thing SatAM seemed to struggle with was the humor; which was pretty weak at best. But to be fair, almost all of Sonic's media outings struggled with finding humor. "Boom" is the only one that managed to succeed in that department thus far.

Honestly making Shadow a one-dimensional bully was probably the laziest, uninteresting thing they did in the entire show. He's not even bouncing off of other characters in any funny way, he just says bland edgy lines in his own vacuum while fighting the heroes.

I really want to see a completed, fixed up version of Sonic Boom. Rise of Lyric (like most Sonic Games) had potential to be an actually good sonic game.
Season 2 of Sonic Boom was where the show really grew the beard. The show's animation was more refined, there were more fourth wall jokes and nods to Sonic's fanbase (as well as take thats to the more insane parts, like Chris-Chan, the guy who maced a GameStop employee over the color of Sonic's arms), and more emphasis on story and character development.
Despite all the odds against Boom (the lackluster reception of the tie-in games and Christina Miller, president of Cartoon Network deliberately refusing to give the show the screentime it so rightfully deserved in favor of more Toddler Titans reruns), it became the longest-running Sonic cartoon at 104 episodes and was even nominated for a 2017 Teen Choice Award.
A third season was teased at the end of "Eggman: The Video Game: Part 2: The End of the World", with Shadow vowing to return and Eggman planning his next evil scheme, but thanks in part to Christina Miller and her obsession with Toddler Titans, there may never be one.

Well it's just an opinion, I like X more then Boom but I don't mind if others say that Boom is better, tho there are people who are saying that X is a bad show or Boom is shitty (at this point every Sonic cartoons are called good and bad at the same time, only SATAM has more positive reviews/rants)
Sonic X could've been great if they'd went with the "creatures and people exist in the same world" angle.
Instead the whole creatures from another world in ours was just endlessly cheesy.
Satam and underground-while lacking any humans besides Robotnik, at least work in their own right and don't try to have anything both ways. Sonic Boom is just nothing but a joke-any episode that isn't like the justin beaver episode is just as basic and boring as it gets.

I never watched cosmodore that much before the controversy but... damn, it sucks but I'm happy he gets the help he needs
Sonic Boom is a pretty enjoyable show although it caught me off guard when Eggman directly quoted the Nestle CEO.

2019 ls mark: I can’t hate the game too much, they were rushed to put out the game and it was overhyped so I can cut them a little slack

Personally, while I found "Boom" superior in terms of its humor and witty writing, I still enjoy SatAM more for the drama, serious stakes, and atmosphere it had.
Well to be honest Satam and Sonic boom are my two favorite sonic cartoons

Mike Pollock is a good voice for Eggman. Too bad he didn't emphasize the "Pingas" part, when Eggman said "Snooping as usual is see" in that one episode.

Was anything interesting lost by Cosmodore's removal from the video? Or did LS Mark re-dub his sections? I never watched the original video.
Mark mentioned how he did a collab with Cosmo on his channel for the first season and this video was about the second season prior to the editing. The Cosmo appearances are meant to be a joke about how maybe they would collab for the second season. You can look up the deleted scenes if you want.

I love this show because of how self aware it is and it was surprisingly funny af cause of its out of context moments i wish this show was aired on Cartoon Network again because it’s so good
Everyone talks about how great Eggman was but Sonic and Amy were also huge improvements. Sonic for once in idk how long acted like a teenager and even though Amy's personality is a cliché just like Knuckles, she actually pulls it off. Maybe it's because her standard stalker character was bad to where any any change was welcome while Knux suffered from a massive downgrade. Heck it's one of the only times where I'm okay with the Sonamy ship for the two were depicted to have chemistry
You were on the money with this one, it has to be said. Boom was a great premise and it's a shame it's just kinda faded away in favour of crap like Forces.

@@jollama I have a minor nitpick, in several season 1 episodes, there some instances where the characters don't make a grunt or a scream. The japanese dub added those additional grunts and screams. I don't know if it was the English voice actors or something else, but it can be pretty wrong once you notice.

To be honest, "Underground" is probably my 2nd favorite Sonic show - with SatAM being #1 and "Boom" at #3.
It may have its flaws and odd creative choices, but the show is surprisingly competent with its characters, drama, and world-building.
