Just the video I was needing to see. I just bought a 24ft 5th wheel camper. Only had the floor left on it. I removed that but was wondering how to Put the wood down. The angle iron sides made the light bulb turn on.
I'm glad I was able to help :-) I've done a couple trailer conversions now and honestly enjoy doing them I am going to come out with more of this series hopefully soon finishing up the lighting the electric brakes and building drive over fenders from scratch.
This looks great man. I will be cutting the ears off my camper flatbed trailer conversion that I'm starting this week. But mine is pretty much like yours the frame is more modern, though. What size bolts did you use to go through the wood through the metal when you put your boards on? That's the only question I had but it looks great man!
That welding wire NR 211MP is not suitable for this especially since this should be considered structural welding, I would have used something like E71T (GS) or (11) if you wanted to do multi pass not that it was needed but it all depends on the strength you look gor your welds.
After completing the conversion I took it into the DMV and they inspected the trailer and how it was built then I did some paperwork for the conversion and it is now titled and registered as a flatbed trailer.
which welder? The Duty cycle 100% at the amperage I'm running for the big red/white one. Start making it funny noise because I ran out of shielding gas. Unless you're talking about the little red one then yeah it doesn't have much of a duty cycle
i cant stand when them ears stay on i cut mine off when i built one because you can tell it was a camper converted so i took them off looked like a real manufactured utility
@@Michael-B41 I'm half and half about the rear bumper trying to figure out a way of putting lights in it if I'm not able to I'm going to build my own thing back there. What ears are you talking about?

Thanks I definitely like the way it turned out there will be some more videos coming out on it soon. I used a 3/8 carriage bolt in different lengths

With the cost of the trailer around $800 up to this point I will be having more videos coming soon on Building fenders installing lights and wiring

I'm thinking of converting an old 30' camping trailer into a flat bed then pitching a 10x 20 canvas wall tent n go hunting for 5 days
