We have our origin, history and identity and we are proud to be Casertani. We are NOT Neapolitans! Here we say "non mischiamo la cacca con la cioccolata" it's means: Don't mix the shit with chocolate ;)

Carissimo Suppiloppi, partiamo da un presupposto: Caserta è una città di 80mila anime, Napoli una metropoli. Già solo tentare di fare un paragone è roba da analfabeti. Si tratta di due realtà assolutamente valide con identità e peculiarità differenti. Caserta vanta un patrimonio culturale incredibile in proporzione alle sue dimensioni. Vabbè, è vero che amministrativamente sono due cose distinte, e capisco il senso di appartenenza, ma queste guerre di importanza con Napoli sono così provinciali e fanno un pò ridere, perchè tutte le province della Campania hanno il 90% di storia e cultura, nonchè la lingua, in comune con Napoli. Voler far credere di essere qualcosa di totalmente differente agli stranieri è un pò ridicolo.
Directly above Caserta is "Old Caserta" or " Casertavechia" A Medieval City roughly 800 AD is in the Tifatini mountains. Rich in history eerily awesome to explore especially during winter when you most likely will be literally wandering by yourself in a time warp ! Untouched authentic !
