the criterion collection of de sica films have great & lengthy interviews of de sica as bonus features. what an eloquent & sensitive man, who imbued all his work with such love & devotion & lived his life with such artistry, revealing & sharing the timeless qualities of life to this day & beyond.

Opa la la!!! Excellent lecture, I like particularly the analysis of the film´s title. But I like to stress that the scene of the blankets tries to signal not what the professor says, instead that scene says that there are tons of stories as the Ricci`s story, and that is a pretty nice characteristics of the neorealism.

Any place where we can find all videos in this lecture series? Both MIT official site and this channel contains only 8-9 videos of the series. 1-4, then straight jump to 15, ending with 20..

The full series is not currently available. The main reason is due to copyright issues. The first four contained movies that were old enough to be used without any issues. The later lectures have been made available due to a policy change in 2010 to publish some works under Fair Use. The course is still being worked on. We hope to someday have the whole course published.

The Professor gave the plot away!...
but it's ok because everything he says about the film is true.
It is great literature in the form of a film...
