  • Today we make a map using Snazzy Maps, edit it with PhotoShop and burn the project with a 10W diode laser. I go through the entire process from beginning to end.

I think this would speed the process up. After engraving the roads, etc. cut out the land mass _only_. Now you have a piece(s) of wood representing the land. Take a second piece of wood and paint it blue to represent the water. Glue the land onto the blue water layer.

I've seen plenty of layered maps that look really nice, but that's not the look I was going for on this one. I will do a layered map video at some point though.

Would be nice to see an alternative way to photoshop, some of us do not have that software. Otherwise great video.

Unfortunately, PhotoShop (and Illustrator) is the only editing software I've used. I'm just going with what I know :D Glad you liked it otherwise though!

Hi there! Awesome channel! Was curious if you have any suggestions on etching ceramic with Cermark on D1 10 W Pro? thx

Hi, Yuliya! I have not used Cermark. But I can say that I would apply the product as suggested in the directions or on the label. Once it dries, then run a test grid. The test grid will show you the best settings to use for the look/shade you are going for. Let me know if I can be of anymore help!

Interesting video, would be a nice piece of wall art. Without looking close the "N" looked like a "D" and I was wondering if they changed the spelling! LOL! Looking good.
