I found this very interesting. I am glad you rearranged that area as I too was thinking it needed a slight tweak. I am embarking on soft soldering around cut out China for pendants. I have in the past done quite a few tesserae pieces mostly mirrors and frames and vases and on wooden hearts, crosses that I sold when I had an arts and interiors booth in a retail antique and interiors market. It was a lot of fun, and I still have the tools which you just demonstrated 🎉 what a bonus because I’m dusting them off for my new venture! I enjoyed watching you use the tools on this and a few other videos you have done. I needed a refresher course. I have tucked this new knowledge shown here in my back pocket for future use. I don’t know about epoxy sculpt! Soon to be remedied 😊. Your piece turned out quite lovely. Thanks for sharing in an easy to understand format.
Thankyou very much Dly appreciate that very much. Years ago I used to work with cutting and shaping china and then soldering around them to make necklaces, I love the look of them and they were fun to do. It would have been awesome to have a booth in a retail antique market selling the pieces you create, I am so glad you kept your tools. Apoxie Sculpt is a great product to work with, it does things other products cannot do. I look forward to seeing some of your future pieces, if you get the chance please join the Facebook page Mosaics Australia Wide and post some of your pieces, I am in there often. Thankyou very much for watching and commenting. :)
I love it, beautiful and simple. I will also try to do a jewellery with melting smalti or glass but I have to wait getting all the materials. Thank you Peter for this Tutorial☺️
You can do that and that would work, however its knowing how much to add so the tessera doesn't push up with it especially at that size. Also when I create in bezels my tess is a lot closer together in fact very close together and there isn't normally the room for the AS to push upward. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
Wow, I never would have thought to put the Apoxie Sculpt on top and use it as a grout. That is really pretty. I always just put some powdered pigment over the finished produce while it's wet, but having the Apoxie be used for the grout lines is brilliant. What a pretty pendent.
Thankyou so much Liz, there’s always more than one way to do a project, this is just the way l do it. It’s always good to hear about the different ways people do things like you adding the powdered pigment. Thanks very much for your comment and for watching. 😊
@@kekejivery8405 Not in this case, by using the Apoxie Sculpt to grout in the jewellery bezel it’s all flush. Sometimes using grout in a small bezel the finish is not always flush. Also you can grind each piece if you feel its necessary before adhering into the bezel. Thanks for watching and for commenting. 😊

Thankyou very much Melissa and Thankyou for watching. 😊
would it not be easier to use more Apoxie Sculpt as the base and let it push up between your pieces?

What a lovely piece. Good time to start making them for birthday or even Christmas gifts I reckon. And great for using up shards!
Thanks so much Wendy, its great using the left over shards of glass or whatever else you would like to put into them. Thanks for watching. :)
What a beautiful design - simple but so effective on that scale.
Are you worried about any sharp edges on the glass/crockery?
@@lalitakaplish7779 Thankyou appreciate that and your comment. 😊

Gorgeous! Do you press your tessarae into the apoxy sculpt gently before grouting?
Thankyou very much. Yes I do push it in a little but it still needs to have Apoxie Sculpt under the tesserae. Thanks so much for watching. :)
