Not trying to promote str8edge by saying this, but the near-preservation of his vocals has gotta be from being drug free for all these *decades (assuming Choke has remained steadfast with being abstinent).
When I was 17 I was getting drunk listening to Stars & Stripes and went on a graffiti binge too close to my house. I woke up hungover to kids banging on my window cuz my younger neighbor had the same color spray paint (florescent green) on his ramp and the detectives (not regular police) were putting the screws to him pretty bad trying to get a story out of him. I walked over and said that isn't who you're looking for and they agreed and we all went back to my house. I made coffee and we sat around and talked about my involvement in the local "skinhead gang" while they took pictures of my room. This was the first thing that came to mind after seeing Choke in this video.
