Movie Cropping in 1080 is either oversampled or pixel to pixel . Idk but it's SUPER crispy on the R8, makes me wanna get one of those sigma 16mm 1.4 just for smaller file sizes. Thanks for these tips!
i had this camera for around 8 months and i had no idea that it had view assist for C-Log and that it had false color damn. SO happy that i saw this vid
@@edualapont honestly you’re going to see a massive jump from the R to R8 but if you want a bigger body, longer battery & even higher resolutions + the budget, R5 II.
@@CreativeRyan Thank you very much, I was convinced by the r5ii, but some youtubers like @MichaelJohnsonProductions comment that the 4k 60 on the r8 (not raw or sraw) is much better in sharpness, details and color for being oversampled which makes me last
@@edualapont yea the colors are good, 4k up to 60 is great, 120-180fps in 1080 is cool too! I actually have the R8 & R both. R8 def is sharper but the R is still fine for most situations.
The Canon R8 is an amazing camera. I wish they had given at least 6 mechanical shutters. Canon R8 need an overall zoom lens like Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM. Hope they will bring this.
I still can’t figure out how to make sure clog3 is exposed correctly. I’ve seen a bunch of different videos but I feel like you could explain it so much simpler and concise. I also have an r8 so it would be a life saver.
Awesome video as always. Thinking of getting this camera and shooting lots of video with movement (waterfalls, leaves blowing in the wind etc) how do you find the IPB codec with lots of movement? Heard there’s heaps of artifacting and noise compared to ALL-I. Thanks again for the video and any help.
@@JaysEndeavors that’s what I’m saying. I’m bout to get a Sony because I feel they have better hobbyists cameras but for the bigger professional camera I feel it’s about 50 50
I have an R50 with the Nisi 9mm f2.8 RF lens and this combo has served me well. But it's time to move up to full frame with this R8. Can you suggest the best manual focus wide angle lens for shooting real estate videos and photos? This Nisi 9mm will fit directly on the R8, but 9mm on a full frame is too wide even for real estate. Plus this lens is good but not without its issues, distortion and vignetting.
Hope these settings help!
how do you use it for livestreams or podcast? do you use the hdmi
You giving the R8 the respect it deserves. 💪🏾

As an eos r user I was thinking of upgrading to the r5 mkii but for video I'm really tempted by the r8 and save a lot of money.

Can we pls get a tutorial on how you go about shooting a music video on clog 3 exposing right different scenes settings and all that );
Do you use Airplane Mode to save battery? I hear that helps, hoping to get my R8 soon!
You know, I never knew this existed. This is probably a gem!

@creativeryan What are your thoughts about everyone going to Sony?
I know right. I was surprised watching YC diss Canon for Sony. Most of his work and vlogs were bricked off Canon
