Virginia Bell had a short-lived career as a dancer, model, and actress. She was one of the first pin-up girls who came to prominence in the otherwise conservative 1950s. By the 1960s, she became the main attraction of a few sexploitation films.
Though she retired in the early 1970s and withdrew from public life, she remains one of the most iconic figures of the adult entertainment industry.
Virginia Bell was short and had a voluptuous lower body. But what made her stand out was her large bust which was unusual for the time. Her bust became the main attraction of her photos as American men, at the time, weren’t used to seeing such a figure in magazines.
She was a burlesque dancer and was arguably one of the main attractions at any club that she performed in. In the 1960s, she appeared in a few films and her enchanting beauty was one of the main attractions that drew audiences in.
To this day, archive footage of her film works as well as her photos are used in video releases of adult content. She’s often mentioned in documentaries, articles, and other works that discuss the sexploitation craze of the 50s and 60s.
Virginia Bell eventually withdrew from public life after retiring as a model, dancer, and actress. She died in 2010 at the age of 75. Though she stepped away from the limelight it seems that she was still a popular subject of discussion.
But how did Virginia Bell get her start? What was her journey like in the modeling and entertainment industry?

The films were "something to do" according to her granddaughter, as she didn't need the money. Ms. Bell was making between $1,500.00 and $1,800.00 a week in the clubs and halls of the 1950's and early 60's. Also, according to her granddaughter, she and Jackson were smart with the money, buying homes in 1,000 Oaks, Simi Valley, and other now affluent parts of the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys. Truly one of a kind....

Well you know what they say, if you got em, flaunt em!! My dad used to tell me stories of going to the burlesque clubs and shows in his younger days, and even though this was towards the end of that when he got married, he was shall we say quite a fan of hers. Mom was very understanding, but of course she had a big bust too

Beyond impressive
Many burlesque dancers were more attractive than Hollywood stars. Blaze Starr for example was gorgeous. Got to see her dance at the end of her career Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA 1975, she was quite the lady and was especially nice to us soldiers.

Not only in a theatre but in trains that didn't have a dining car. The candy butcher would walk up and down the train selling food, drinks and smokes. It became a generic term for a person like that but likely did start with chopping up hard candy.

Virginia was only 5 feet 2 tall and weighed 115-120. She was slender, wore a size 8 dress so that suggests she wore a bra of 38 or less with a I or J cup. I'm guessing that based on her dress size. With a rib cage of no more than 38, her 48 inch bust would require at least an H or I but I'm guessing a J.
Her full stats were 48-24-35 so she was NOT fat by any means. And that 48 might have been at a time when she was close to her period or was expecting. So we need to make a bit of allowance for her. She might have had a better movie career if she had a better agent.

The internet is not much help revealing her bra size, the sites I normally trust to be accurate have nothing on her. That suggests they will not risk being wrong!
Since she was somewhat slender I'm betting if measured by someone who knew what they were doing she would wear a 36H bra. There are some women who at least admit they have implants who appear about the size of Virginia.
