    Another tip, I think, is to remove all personal items from drawers, closets, and basement.
    Take down personal pictures and kitschy doodads.

      Those are good suggestions Frank. A lot of real estate agents recommend something similar for selling a home. Thanks for your contribution!

      @@RVInspectionAndCare all the same rules would apply. An RV is essentially a home.

    Don’t forget about the engine and battery compartments. I’m looking for an RV actually and when I see those being really dirty, I know they don’t take care of their RV very well and I skip those usually. And also squeaky doors and hinges, they turn me off also.

    When is RV season?

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generally speaking it starts in April/May and continues until September/October. There are RVers that are still fairly active in other months of the year especially in warmer climates. But those months are when the most RVs are out on the road traveling and camping.

    I plan on selling my 2016 grand design 5th wheel next week. All repairs are completed & have taken very good care inside & out. I paid cash for it 4 years ago. Should I wait or list it & see what happens? No hurry to sell. Thanks

      It's hard to say Mike. Timing the RV sales market is not easy to do. A lot of folks expected RV prices to be much lower than they are by now after the buying craze of the past few years has subsided. But prices seem to be stubbornly remaining higher than expected. Personally, I think that a coach that has been obviously cared for will always bring a higher price than normal though because there are some who really value that kind of care and are willing to pay extra for it.

    My question is not on topic to the video, but I wonder how a prepurchase inspection is handled relative to an RV show where, presumably the RV at the show is immediately sellable?

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Scott. First of all, I would never buy any RV without a thorough inspection these days. And I'm not sure that I would want to buy a show model either after hundreds or even thousands have gone through it at the show. But if I did, I would stipulate to the dealer that I would only buy it after an RV inspection has established that it is in new and fully workable shape. If they are not willing to accept those terms, I would not buy that RV. I hope that helps.

    I think it is easier to do a consignment with a dealership 🤷‍♀️

      LOL ... I agree Mary. It's a lot of work to DIY, but you can make more money that way too. Every seller has to make the decision that fits them best. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject!
