I think Colton has a complex where he wants what he can’t have. Hannah B says she’s in love with Colton, he sends her home. Caelynn is the next to say she’s in love, he sends her home. Cassie seems like she’s gonna hold out forever to say it, and he’ll choose her in the end.

I gotta give them props though: I’m kind of glad they’re moving away from the standard of the show and not just rushing into it. He meets these girls and picks one at the end after, what, 8 weeks?
Everyone says his and Cassie’s interactions are shallow but I see it as the beginning of dating somebody.
I don’t think Cassie’s ready by any means, and I don’t think she should have gone on the show if she wasn’t ready to get engaged. I think she went on under the impression that she was ready, but then midway realized that she bit off more than she can chew.
I think it’s smart that she didn’t tell Colton she’s falling for him if she didn’t mean it, I’m glad she’s being honest. I’m glad she ends up getting picked at the end without an engagement, but instead a normal(ish) relationship.

Colton keeps saying he wants someone emotionally mature and serious about their relationship and potentially marriage but yet he gave Cassie a rose. Cassie didn't tell him she was falling in love or reassured him that she was ready for an engagement. I've warmed up to Colton because he seems genuinely sweet but his decisions have been questionable..😑

I really think that Hannah B was right about Caelyn. The first thing that she said when she got eliminated was f***k and then she said to Cassie get engaged. Even if Cassie is her best friend the guy that you are in love just break your heart so i don't think she was really sad she just want to be in the top two to be the bachelorette and all the crying was for sure her auditione for the bachelorette and i really hope they don't pick her..
On the other hand there is something about Cassie that seems fake she is not ready but even Colton is not ready and the both love the fame and the tv shows so maybe they are perfect for each other. But i really think Tayisha is so much better for him. Love you Lauren!! Every episode is even better than the last one.

@@skater5696 I''m a little late with my reply but everything Hanna B said about Caelynn is true. She has said on many interviews that she flew to spend time with Cassie every week-end. Why has no one picked her up on this. Cassie is the one Colton picked and they spent every weekend plus extra time together in their Happy Home. And then to move from her home town to LA where Colton and Cassie are plus move into the same block of units as Cassie seems really strange. I read an article by a flatmate of hers when she was in the pagents with HannaB and he confirmed what Hanna said. In fact a few of things he said were quite telling. I do not like Caelynn at all.

I am guessing she had jobs in LA and so visited Cassie while she was in LA since they're still good friends after being best buds in the house. Having a reason to keep coming to LA, it would be more convenient to just move there lol. I think quite a few of the Bachelor franchise alumni have moved to LA. She's not close to perfect, I know. It's okay if you don't like her. Sorry if you haven't heard but she's going to be on Paradise which is going to be two nights a week after the 1st week. Oy vey, two nights a week is a bit much. lol

I don't think so and I don't think she spent every week-end with Cassie. And then in the Women Tell All she was a flood of tears. The two girls who were actually in the Final 3 didn't put on an act like she did. I just find her false and all out for herself. Probably hoped Colton would realize he had made a mistake choosing Cassie and pick her. Not very likely. I could be wrong - she has just put up too many red flags for me to think highly of her .

Clearly the girls were right when they said that she was the one not being ready for an engagement. this season was really strange. i dont really feel anything for anyone, not even for colton. i cant see a single girl being the next bachelorette. I also think Colton is very well milking all of the publicity from this season. More so than any bachelor, he’s tweeting and promoting everything like crazy. To me, if he picks the girl who can’t commit...I just feel like this whole season was fraudulent and a waste of time. It also will be upsetting because producers could have picked someone to be the bachelor that 10000% wants to find someone long-term to commit to.
I don’t think Cassie loves Colton the way he does.. Cassie has not told him how she feels and that shows that she doesn’t really love him..In my opinion Cassie and Colton make a cute couple but I don’t think she’s the right person for him it’s what I see..this episode I love Hannah G..she’s seems so mature and responsive with Colton feelings and Hannah g has a funny personality so I personally pick Hannah g or Tayshia not Cassie

I don’t like the wording of “asking for permission” ...I view it to be more of a respectful action/man (or person) professing his/her love for another and wanting to join families officially. My favs from this season are Tayshia, Elyse (I don’t care about what happened I still love her lol), Katie (who btw in my opinion is probably one of the most gorgeous contestants of the bachelor I’ve seen in a while along with Sienne), and Hannah B. I’m still so mad Colton did her the way he did. She was so ready and he let her go.
Namjoon's Dimples Colton is too boring to be with Hannah B. She was so sweet and goofy. He almost always looked uncomfortable when she really let her personality show. She deserves to be with someone fun and who loves her unconditionally
Cassie has her whole life ahead of her. She is a catch and could have her pick in men. I think she went on the show for the experience/ exposure but who wouldn’t of given the chance. You can tell she’s not ready for a proposal.

EDIT: I would like to take this moment to say that even though i don't like her that i think its terrible that people are telling her to kill herself its unacceptable and its wrong there is a difference between not liking someone and wishing ill on them and i don't wish ill on her because i still think she was brave to share her story.
Feeling bad for Colton. No experience to know that chemistry will only give you at most 6 months of a "relationship." Does he have anything else with Cassie and Hannah B? Hard to tell if it's the editing, or they really haven't had a decent conversation, just good make-out sessions!

I really hate the idea of a guy asking my dad for my hand in marriage. Maybe that’s just because my parents are divorced and my mom took care of us for the most part. But I wouldn’t even want my future husband to ask my mom for that. It just seems really antiquated to me.

I’m so confused with Cassie and Caelynn. They got so close with each other, and then Caelynn says she loves Colton, but then she gets eliminated so she tells Cassie to “get engaged”. Clearly they’re going to maintain their friendship after the show, how awkward would it be if one friend is engaged to the man that they both had all these supposed feelings for?

They became friends with the understanding that they are dating the same man and will root for each other no matter what. So basically it’s already accepted.

I think “the right reasons” are a trope on the show that doesn’t hold up in an era when you have “content creators” on the show. It just seems like the show’s drama comes from the idea that you need to weed out the people who are on it to bolster their careers when that’s not a secret. It happens. Colton is doing it too. 🙄

Please tell me Onyeka and Taiysha will be called out for all the gossip and here-say this season. We had to endure three episodes of them making crap up and spreading rumors. Show us the "behind the scenes" video of Elyse, where she overheard the girls talking. If it never happened; then you need to expose Onyeka for the liar she is.

Hi Lauren!! Splendid recap as usual!! In terms of the actual hometown dates, Caelynn's family seemed super sweet, but the first portion of the date was quite uneventful. Her dad was hilarious, hearing his line about Colton and Caelynn basically being friends was super funny. The Hannah G date was interesting. I thought it was super adorable of Colton to say that "saying grace" is the first thing you do at the table. The etiquette date gave me flashbacks to when I was a child when my mom put me through etiquette classes. Hannah's family seemed nice and super sweet as well. Tayshia and Colton had a fun hometown date! I like that she wanted payback for the bungee jump date. I think that Colton and Tayshia have a strong connection, and I like seeing a contrast between their extreme and normal dates. We've been able to get a picture of what their life would be like post-show. Tayshia's family was hilarious, especially her brother. I also loved her father's microwave line, super great. Cassie's date looked fun, but Colton isn't the best surfer. Hahaha. Although she was honest with Colton, I think Cassie's responses to Colton and her father show that she's not ready to get engaged, and she has a lack of clarity on what she wants and what her feelings are.
Referencing the rose ceremony results, I felt like this episode highlighted Caelynn’s actions and words even more than the previous episode did. If Caelynn thought she was going to be “the one” and wanted to be engaged to Colton at the end, why would she tell Cassie to go “get engaged” when she was eliminated. Some could claim she wants to be supportive to her friend, but her words suggest otherwise. It was a shady comment. One reason she likely said this was because if Cassie wins, she has the highest probability of being the bachelorette of the girls that remained. But she might’ve messed that up with the things she has said. She wants Cassie to prove that she and Caelynn were actually ready for marriage, but we know that Cassie doesn’t know what she wants and won’t even tell Colton she’s falling for him. It was clear from that rose ceremony that she “expected” that they would be in final 2, because if you saw her reaction to Tayshia getting the rose; it was a bit much, to say “that’s bs” and the comments she made about her last week being insecure and other demeaning words about her were suspect as well. Also, multiple women have brought up Caelynn as not genuine, not just Kirpa and Tayshia, including Hannah B earlier on in the show; it’s very possible Caelynn was there for other reasons. I mean her and Cassie we’re in the bedroom in last weeks episode saying that “at least nobody named names.” That stands out as another red flag. Why are you worried about names Cassie and Caelynn? She must be afraid that they would get caught. Based on Cassie's responses in this episode and Colton deciding to choose Cassie over Caelynn it seems like Colton isn't thinking with his brain, and that Cassie's indecisiveness might lead Colton to jump the fence and "quit the show" next week. He must like playing hard to get or must enjoy the chase. Wonderful episode as usual, Lauren!! Women Tell All and the Fantasy Suites will be interesting, that's for sure!!

And, I LOVED Caelynn's dad too! Why? Because my dad is my stepdad and I don't even think of him as a stepdad, he's "Dad." So thankful for stepdads who step up! LOVE!
