Rewatching this. I actually kinda dig Mechagodzilla. His fighting style was so dope where he can use multiple abilities to his advantage, wish they made him more harder to kill tbh, I felt he was killed off too easily compared to like King Ghidorah for example
One thing I hate about newer movies is that there are way too many cuts during a scene… we need more single shot action instead of constant cut back and forth.
Imagine the outcome of all the Kong vs Godzilla battles had Kong not been sedated in the beginning by that collar that greatly compromised his full strength. 99% of viewers seemed to miss that huge detail.

@chyumiming. Kong knocked G-man out in the 2nd film. If based on strength vs strength, sans atomic breath I say it's evenly matched. Although it's said Kong has greater upper body strength. As for the aircraft carrier scene, that was heavily in favor G-man. Let's see, in the middle of an ocean (apes can't swim), very limited real estate to move on, heavily sedated by a collar, and having to fight two opponents i.e. the water and Zilla.
Love the scene of all the humans in the control deck, staring at the gigantic laser Godzilla just shot through the ship and into the sky. It's them realising not only can Godzilla not be hurt by anything they do, so all the stuff they did before was pointless, but also that Kong has no chance at beating Godzilla unless they distract Godzilla somehow. My favourite thing about legendary verse is humans realising not only are they insignificant and completely powerless, but also that their ideas blow up in their faces anytime they try to meddle with titans. The terrorists plan to use titans to restore the earth, they released the monster that hates mankind and wants to plunge world into chaos, and were shocked when other titans woke up at same time because of it. Or the oxygen destroyer, Godzilla would have eliminated Ghidorah but they wanted to kill both and thus only allowed Ghidorah to live by knocking Godzilla out. Or the mechagodzilla, they created a vessel for ghidorah to come back to live thanks to using the brain of ghidorah to make it. Or bringing kong on a ship in the ocean, which made it all but impossible to avoid godzilla and for kong to survive.
He has a tail thar keeps him balanced while Kong doesn't. This isn't about durability, BTW. Kong landed a harder punch and returned the favor right after.
Nah forget that we need a Shimo movie cuz Godzilla has like 2 movies where's it entirely about him but none about Shimo all we got was a backstory of her in GXK but not a movie of her I think it would be cool
Godzilla's energy has been used a lot against Kong and his atomic breath is large enough to penetrate the Hollow Earth otherwise it is possible that Godzilla will be able to face Mecha Godzilla 😢😢
