- This is a 'tester' of a Norman Nippy that my dad bought at Beaulieu AutoJumble this September. We have put a new spark plug in, cleaned the carburettor and put some fresh fuel in (20:1 two-stroke). A few pedals and he started for the first time in... god knows how long! A bit more work and we'll have him ready for an MOT!

Many bikers got off to a Nippy start. Well done.
My first bike at 16 (1973) I got it from the local dump,repaired it, got it registered, MOT'd & then it did me proud back and forwards to work for the year. It was even faster than my mates brand new Yamaha FS1E & believe me for a 16 year old bike, that really got to him. Sadly she was soon forgotten when I past my Car test & she ended up being scrambled, finally crashed & ended up down the dump again. What a fool I was, ridding that old bike was the best fun I can ever remember & listening to the exhaust note on your bike brought it all back again. Look out E bay here I come. there's got to be a Nippy out there for a price.

went all afternoon on half jam jar of juice sold it for 10 quid back in 1969
Great bike AND presenter! Better than some presenters Ive seen and heard on TV! I'd like that bike. My riding day's are finished but I'd like to own one just for the sake of it. I'll have a look, there'll be some about. Nice vid, Thanks. BillyG. UK

you still got him mate? only just heard about these, i live in ashford which is where the factory was for normans so its extra intresting to me think i might have to get one and be the youngest guy intrested in thesr things!
Hi, your old Norman Nippy is up for sale, the current owner doesn’t have the chain fitted so can’t tell me if the gearbox and clutch work correctly, please could you tell me when you owned the bike did you fit the chain and ride the bike, did it run OK, thanks Mark.
