Hey hey my man, good to see you back. Much like Drunken Tai Chi I haven't seen this film but I am a huge fan of Yuen Woo Ping. Generally I don't like 80's tinged films, but I do love break dancing, even though I was rubbish at it. Dick Wai never quite was the star perhaps he could or should have been, I heard he had torrettes syndrome and how he managed his condition and how it presented impacted on him greatly. I recently saw Miracle fighters, also by the same director and that is superbly bonkers, well worth adding to the list. My favourite 80's HK action film is Lady is the boss, directed by Lau Kar-leung, it features most of his family unit and a superb BMX kung fu mash up. Looking forward to seeing Disciples, it was a film Lau was encouraged to make, I think it was shot before 8 diagram, but released after. Anyway good stuff mister.
Mitch! As always a wealth of knowledge :) I might be lucky I have a soft spot for the 80s because it's not too hard to take a step back and see it's pretty... "unique" Look like Miracle Fighters is another with Brandy Yuen too, safe to say that's getting watched! I see now that BMX Kung Fu might be its own genre, this is great news
