I remember Smack Down being better than Raw. They had Paul Heyman as the GM and head writer. Eddie, Edge, Chavo, JBL, Angle, Rey, RVD, Booker T, were all giving awesome matches.
@@ubereats3047 Oh, yes! HHH was so cool, not only could you see him weekly beat up some lesser wrestlers like Booker T, Kane & RVD, but also every show would start with him doing his 20 minute long monologue. It was a great time to be a wrestling fan...
@@vanderful2397 Loved by who? All he was known for was holding other wrestlers back kissing up to McMahon. That’s why the best workers were happy to go to Smackdown. Even the Undertaker went to Smackdown because the best wrestling matches were on Smackdown.

Until I got to highschool, we had 6 channels. We were middle class so this isn’t a pity party, my dad just didn’t want to pay for cable 😂 but we were able to watch Smackdown but not Raw because of the networks. I rooted so hard for Smackdown. When JBL became champ, I was 6. 04-07 Smackdown was incredible
Smackdown was better than Raw to me as a kid. Even now i still think Smackdown is better than Raw. People forgot Smackdown beat Raw in SS 05 and bragging rights 08 and 09
The allusion of competition between the two "brands" even though really there was only 1 brand and it was just WWE was brilliant! it's part of why so many people have such fond memories of watching wrestling during the Ruthless Aggression era, both shows felt like big deals, both were larger than life and both established a visual and booking style that made them feel different and unique from one another, not to mention, the talent! the roster was freakin' STACKED between 2002-2008.
I don't know...for a time in 02-03 i think it was...the Smackdown roster was stacked. Lesnar, Angle, Eddie, Taker, etc. I considered it the A show during that time. I wish the JBL character had come in sooner to be a part of that time.
Well of course Smackdown was the B show after Brock left and Bradshaw a month into a gimmick change was the WWE champion after never even being in contention for a midcard singles title prior. Until Jinder Mahal came along, it was the biggest and quickest leap from perennial lower midcard to main event status we had ever seen.
Honestly, that late 2003 to spring of 2005 SmackDown was some of my favorite stuff. Yes, the roster was weak, but the talent was locked in.
JBL was such a great heel character. He was like a modern day Million Dollar Man.
Started to enjoy this podcast again since JBL joined

Yeah but Raw had HHH who was loved by everybody & always.
@@vanderful2397LMAOOOOO Triple H? Loved during ruthless aggression specifically 2003?

Those ppvs are scripted buddy u have to look at the quality of the storyline matches and ratings not who won in the ppvs
Dont forget folks. JBL had one of the best interview shows on the WWE Network. Hes a natural at podcasting.
I’m so glad Bradshaw is on this show

Ruthless Aggression era, Smackdown was the "A" show.
PERIOD, POINT BLANK.
Arnold actually came in on SmackDown .
JBL put in work as a champion. Fought everybody. Much respect to the wrestling God JBL.
I wonder what would’ve happened if Eddie didn’t die. Would he have stayed in WWE? Would he have become a Booker? Etc.
Hahaha JBL slipped up and called himself a Bully
Smackdown was better than raw im watching wwe 2003 and smackdown was way more action
bradshaw is great to listen to but maybe arnold was a bad example lol he was totally on smackdown
