You are the only journalist correctly highlighting that the budget allocation for Andhra Pradesh is just a small fraction of what was promised during the state's reorganization. AP has been seriously neglected and compromised in the long political game. I hope that leaders and central ministers from Andhra will fight for what AP rightfully deserves.
But fault happened during bifurcation as Hydebadad totally went to it due to foolish Sonia who divided the state only to win TG as it lost hope in AP. Any government at the center can't compensate such huge amounts practically as centre also in high debts due to investments in infrastructure at LAC, national highways and defence spending. AP is a premature baby delivered so it's growth is quite bumpy. It pains a lot for AP people. They lost Chennai completely to TN and Hyderabad to TG.
Suddenly Shekar Gupta is remembering Andhra. He did not cover the most attrocious ruling in India ever in the last 5 years.
It was Shekhar Gupta who supported and spoke about the need of Amaravati and similar new planned cities across the country.
He did 5 years back on the proposed capital of AP,the Amaravati, with a hope of getting a new planned green field capital for AP not only but a growth story to India as a whole as country needs more well metropolitan cities for India's growth story but subsequent happenings where Pappu CM took over it shattered all, otherwise it could have been in discussions continuously since 2019. Jagan destroyed it intentionally due to caste and revenge politics where he came with 3 capitals proposal only to destroy Amaravati and proposed Vizag as capital to do real-estate business reportedly.
Shekhar Gupta is in fact one of the very few journalists who voiced the genuine concerns of the state unlike NDTV and a few others who seemed to take the side of Jagan

@DataCrusade1999 First of all, I am a desh bhakt who left everything in US after staying there for 14 years and came back to India. I have ONLY ONE objective: help India progress as best as I can. I objectively see faults with BJP government but they are not the ones that most people tout about. Counting those here is utterly irrelevant as we are talking about Karnataka's problems. The current problems are just adding on the can of worms. The real issue is indiscriminate politics of freebies which has driven every state which has exercised it down into doldrums. This is really alarming. States, especially those ruled by opposition, are ruing their economy by giving away freebies and loan waivers. These need to be stopped immediately, and fiscal prudence must be put in place. The situation in Karnataka is a prime example, and it looks like Telengana is going that way, too.
This is where one must appreciate the central government, especially on fiscal discipline and the continued pressure by FM to all states to follow the same. Hope the states will at least try to do their part . I am sure people will be more interested in a sustainable living than a one dose booster of freebies, which in the long term will make them more sick.

In Andhra Pradesh bifurcation one fact is that the Andhra people had invested most of their wealth in Hyderabad when it was a combined state. If Telangana is a high income state it is partly due to their investments.
First you should know that no one has expected the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh , you should know that until YSR death there is no question on bifurcation

Andhra and Telangana both are bankurupted because of Bifurcation. Please merge both states back to status quo atleast now to save economy of the United state now. If not it goes uncontrollable and these two states become worst than bihar...
to Shekar's final comment of not founding any promise of support to Bihar during its bifurcation in the Bifurcation documents, the division of Bihar and AP are not same. Unlike Bihar, the capital of united AP which generates 30-40% incomes to the state is in the breakaway part of the state. Knowing this Andhras were against state division and so to compensate the loss of income from Hyderabad to the residual Andhra Pradesh did the center gave those promises to new AP which has to build the necessary infrasturcture to run the government.

Moreover in case of Bihar, it is s Jharkand that needs to develop capital infrastructure as Bihar retained the capital.Also Bihar assembly passed the state division resolution while Andhra assembly rejected it.

The claim that Telangana js richest state by per-capita is objectively false. The 3.74 lakh is nominal per-capita income, and is so high because Telangana has had highest inflation across the country. Telanagna's real GDP is around 1.5-1.6 lakh, much less than KA, TN, MH and GJ
What about AP. Here we are discussing how lost out in the division of erstwhile AP into TG and new AP. If you are crying after getting Hyderabad what about us. Jagan destroyed us further. That's the problem.

@@DocBrainiac Bangalore is the same and so is Mumbai to Maharashtra. It's the same with many metro cities and revenue mostly coming from them. It's not just people from Andhra who had a hand in the development of Hyderabad, it's also people all over India.

It's always that ONE person who can make or break things, quite visibly CBN proved time and again he is the maker and Jagan Reddy proved himself as the breaker ...... roaming freely despite 30+ cases in the SC. His corruption cases are as old as 10+ years when his father was the CM and he indulged in quid-pro-quo. As long as the justice is delayed and corrupt can roam free on bail for decades, the corrupt won't hesitate to indulge in more corruption to the point where going to jail for few years might still look worthy compared to the loot the criminals have amassed.
Why were there no cases on Jagan until he came out from the Congress party? Quid pro co was between CBN and Congress who conspired to put Jagan in jail for 16 months.
On what kind of bail is CBN roaming freely from Skill development scam and there are another 20 plus cases in which he got a stay. How is CBN a maker? Quote few, what has he made. Why did CBN never win an election without an alliance ?

When a CM unilaterally cancels PPAs(Power Purchase Agreements) negotiated by earlier govt. fully knowing that would cause penalties (despite warning from Govt of India not to do so), and pays 9000 crores for that single act without even using a single watt of power, (yes, Mr.Jagan did this, he paid penalties as directed by the High Court for his stupid act after power companies have gone to the court), what will you call such a CM? 9000 crores of peoples' money, only a irresponsible person could do it.

Now the media talk about favouritism in budget to AP which desperately looking for assistance . What did they do when everything went in wrong way for AP in last 5 years. Telangana was in advantageous position at the time of bifurcation.Don't think in political view point . Any where people are important rather than particular political party existence.

Whitepapers don't get released on the previous government as stated in the beginning. They are released to indicate the current state of affairs in the state/center on the topic.
After long time shekhar Gupta is looking at Southern states.
From what I know, Telangana has just 1 major urban centere, Hyderabad whereas AP has 2, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam, lot of potential in these 2 cities plus 2nd longest coastline after Gujarat and having a good agriculture sector. Hope CBN takes this state forward,

The current situation is due to freebies given by KCR, JAGAN in their government time free electricity,. 2000-5000 thousand for women both in Andra, Telangana, in upcoming days Karnataka, Madya pradesh macro economic situation will be the same in 3-4 years. Already Kerala, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west bengal financial situation is in a dying situation, unfortunately freebies politics will continue as a result we will have 10 economically destroyed States. Now the maharashtra government started freebies politics. It is time for RBI to step up and restrict the unregulated freebies as the central government won't take action due to politics.

As Shekar Gupta gaaru rightly mentioned in his closing remarks, no one is doing favours to AP , only they got the situations to just meet the obligated deeds listed in AP/TS reorganigation act..
The DBT scheme was specifically aimed at YSRCP supporters, who were mostly Christians, Dalits and less muslims. But, they got it back in other forms. For example, 10k per yr for auto drivers was taken back in greater amounts by simply asking the traffic police to challan them for rule violations. All the auto drivers got fed up.
Similarly, just like TMC in WB, people had to pay part of it to the local YSRCP leaders. In addition, free housing was a huge scam. In 5 years, not a single house has been completed and land pooling for that scheme is another huge scam.
Most of the land for free housing was land grabs by local YSRCP leader and then sold to the government at inflated prices thus looting the exchequer.
Then, they gave land patta to poor people and TOOK BACK THE pattas and since the rules allowed the beneficiaries to sell the land in 3 yrs, the land went back to the YSRCP leaders, who initially sold the land at very cheap rates because they had already taken back the land documents soon after the ceremony.

You can even look up the news. For example, my town Nellore. Regarding land grabs, I have a farm and the farm across the road was taken by kakani when the brothers approached him for settlement.
Tahsildars with access to online land records have simply changed the ownership to YSRCP leaders without the owner knowing it. It has happened in Nellore 3 times over [these are cases which are known and are in courts]
You can come down and ask auto drivers BUT if you are asking a Christian Dalit or a muslim, you will NOT get an answer, NOT because they were not looted but because they were the ones who still support him.
I WAS SHOCKED, when Jagan won in 2019, not because he shouldn't have won but because of the majority because the ground reality was not matching. BUT, during campaigning period, I have seen many TRS campaign vehicles parked in our hospital parking lot at night and understood.
Jagan won with the help of BRS and BJP.
1000 temples vandalised in 2 yrs and BJP did nothing.
Pastor Praveen Chakravarthy telecasts his ZOOM meeting on youtube and claims he personally converted 600 villages and made the converts destroy their own village shrines and people came to know about it 45 days later and case is filed BUT BJP remains quite.
People have understood that now the state is bankrupt. People also understand that their are some people who would rather live as parasites and blame others for their personal issues rather than make a honest living.
As far as Christianity or Communism is concerned, the people have now seen some of the worst governance based on those principles.

If AP has 58% of population and 93.9k of per capita income, Telangana has 42% of population and 1.24L of per capita income the per capita income of AP and Telangana combined should be (93.9k*0.58)+(1.24L*0.42) = 1.07L. How is it only 95k. 🤔🤔
