Wow, that looks like a very nice loader!! I love your attention to detail in explaining things! I bet pushing that kind of gpm will be super fast!! Very nice 255, very nice!! Man yeah, fab work on the grapple spear!! Look fwd to seeing that for sure!! Hope you had a great holiday and new years sir!!😁👍
Yep, colder than Southeast Alaska 🥶 That can’t be easy weather in which to cut hedge posts! Nice that you’re able to start working on a few projects under cover 🚜🙂👍
Loader setup looks good. Looking forward to seeing the grapple build. Been thinking about a grapple bucket for handling bales anxious to see yours working.
I hope it works ;) I am just going to start building! I envision a tool that can grab bales, manure pack, and bush trees. Thanks for commenting, hope things are well.
Pretty cool do you ever bust wheel spindles on the loader tractors I’ve broke a few on my Massey 1105 I’ve got a big Leon loader on it I just think it’s too heavy for my tractor
My old 275 was broken several times 🤨. The 471 fwa has never broken and is my main loader tractor. The 255 is only a backup or for shifting bales over distance when we need 2 loaders👍🏻. The 1100 series front is heavy 🤔. Do you keep it greased regularly? It is a balance matching tractor and loader!
Noah, They are 1/4" steel. They measure 42 3/8" on the longest point with a 47 degree cut on the end that touches the ground. They are a U trough form that is 2 1/8" by 2 1/2" by 2 1/8". Hope this helps!
I bought a cheaper one off of Ebay for 120. Agco wants 250 for the one used on a 400 or 500 series massey pn 033909T1. I will say the agco version is a much better valve. My valve from ebay required some slight mod, and new orings after a year :(. This valve is standard for MANY mf models. The 400 series valve would work on my 255! Agco parts call it "flow divider valve".
The extra lift capacity will cause the front rims to break. The rims aren't designed for the extra weight. I had a tractor with a loader with that type lifting capacity and was lifting heavier loads and that eventually happened to me. If putting on a loader, first see if heavier gauge rims are available.
These tractors are relatively light in the front end! There are a couple of modifications that will help. Regardless, we always strive to keep the front end well greased/maintained. The combining valve will not increase lift capacity. What it does is increase total flow and thus speed the operation of the loader. Thanks for watching :)
Now your next concern is not overloading that front axle with heavy bales or bed packed manure. There is always a weak point, most times the limitation of the hydraulics reduces the stress put on loader or tractor.
The front end of the 200 series would never handle the grapple 👍🏻. The grapple is only for the 471. The 255 will push snow and occasionally shuffle bales 🙂. Thanks for watching Wayne. Hopefully you are surviving the winter 👍🏻
Good day So it was a April fool joke in January. OK What I always wanted to see was less overhang from front axle. Boy be careful with that grabble with too much force. Thanks Yea this morning it is -8 c. Thanks I like puppy. I forget other dog name.
Dolly and Rote! The reach is a little concerning Don. For an experienced operator, it is nice to have maximum lift capacity. I intend to re enforce the front end a little bit. The grapple is only for the 471👍🏻🙂.
Ah there's what we were missing. A lot easier to follow along lol. Looks good👍
😁
Great little chore tractor Jack! I think you’ll like the grapple for manure for sure. I like to see farmer ingenuity;)
Thanks Andy. This loader is a huge improvement over the Massey/Sioux loader!
Very nice and exiting project with the Bush hog loader, combined with a grapple will be great to have
Looks like it fit well, and I like the step! The grapple will be a fun build to watch :)
Haven’t found the grapple yet 🙁. Working on the valve now 🙂. Spears are coming now!

Thanks Nelson 🙂. I must admit that steel work is a great joy for me 👍🏻

The cold finally got here 😳! Luckily on the plains, it changes often 😉. I do enjoy working steel 👍🏻.

@@GeigerFarm think the biggest problem is when the woodruff key wallows out and the spindle/kingpin assembly does not track straight
Hey was wondering if you could send me the measurements for the stands on the m446 loader ? The ones that go in the tube used to un mount the loader

Can you list where you bought and a part# for the diverter valve please?
