Pro tip: instead of trimming the ham, you can cover the crockpot with foil. As it cooks, it shrinks and then the lid will fit.

The tough skin is my favorite part of the ham. I don't know why, but mom always saved it for me after it cooked on the ham. I'm 65 years old and still love it!

My mother would use clove in different way. When you score the ham, it creates cross sections, like an intersection. You actually take cloves (not ground up) and put a clove in each intersection where you scored the ham. Then cook it that way.
Best wishes to everyone and have a safe Thanksgiving and holidays.

I used your recipe to make my ham yesterday and it was a HIT!!! 🤤 Everyone was raving about the ham and couldn’t get enough! 💖 I had an 8.5 lb ham and it fit perfect in my 8 qt crockpot so I didn’t need to trim it luckily! It was my first time being in charge to make the ham and I definitely didn’t disappoint! Thank you so much!! 😭😍❤️ I hope you enjoyed your thanksgiving! 🦃

Believe it or not I just got my 1st crock pot at 62 years old!!! I know!!! Lmao!! Nothing like jumping into the 21st Century! But in my defense (and I am a very good cook btw) 😉 But I have always cooked from scratch, by hand in the ovenor on stove top,but now having developed arthritis in my hands and wrists I have bought this beautiful crackpot and found the recipes on You Tube are 100% better than what came with the crock pot or other crock pot recipes I found. Your recipe is A1!!! And very close to mine that I used in the oven!!! My CP is an over sized one. Those little ones are useless for me & my family. So...THANK YOU!!!

Just made this! I didn’t have any cherries so I skipped that and it was amazing!! My boyfriend doesn’t even want me to be a kind neighbor and share with next door! He wants it all to ourselves. It was incredibly spiced and juicy. Only issue was I accidentally cooked for 8 hours on low! It was still amazing. Can’t imagine how juicy it would have been if I took it out at 6 hours! Best ham I’ve ever had.

I made this yesterday and omg it turned out so good. First time making it on a crock pot. i didn't had to wait for my turkey to come out of the oven and then put the ham in oven like before and wait for 1hr more or so. This made it so easy and fast. I didn't had dijon mustard so i used the regular mustard .This will be my recipe every Thanksgiving . Thank you so much ❤️

I used this recipe for our Thanksgiving ham and it turned out great, except it was too sweet for our family. Next time I would leave off the brown sugar because the honey, pineapple and cherry juices, offer up plenty of sweetness and flavor. I had a spiral slice ham that was about 2 inches too high, so I covered it w/heavy duty foil and cooked on low overnight. I tried to remove the ham to cut it up, to return to the pot, but it literally fell off the bone while I tried to remove it. We removed the bones and then just mixed it with the juice and cooked fruits and it was delicious, but sweet. Thanks for a great recipe!

Very, very similar to how I have done mine for years. I use ground clove and nutmeg, instead of cinnamon, molasses and dijon rather than honey, and then at the end, I take my blow torch to it to carmalize it. This leaves the oven open for turkey and all the side dishes. Yummy stuff.

Everyone raved about the delicious ham. I’m glad that I suggested it, because my sister is usually the best cook in the family and she cooks most of the Thanksgiving dinner. So I felt glad that I could contribute to the meal in some way. I think this is how we will cook the ham from now on. Hope you had a healthy and safe Thanksgiving.
