After throwing the Adrian Lewis darts I became a fan of the straight barrel multi-ring design. It just flat out works. I think some of the dart companies are taking cues from the golf industry. I still like fancy darts, but I’m a firm believer that I don’t need them to play well! Thanks for the video.
Love the review and everything you do! Been binge-watching your channel ever since I found you from Reddit a few weeks back! Although there's just something I want to mention about the expensive over-machined darts that you rightfully emphasize are not needed for world-class playing; I personally use some 30-40$ darts as my match darts, simple straight barrel multi-ring as you said. 95% of my collection are also cheaper, not fancy darts, but I also like ''pretty'' thing once in a while? I don't want to sound superficial or anything, but I like having one or two sets of the over-machined darts, like Shot and the likes, because they're esthetically pleasing and it's a fun treat to have. I've never thought that they're needed or made me a better player and I hope others don't as well!
Shot are the exact darts I'm thinking of when I say that. A lot of their darts are beautiful but at the same time grossly over machined and cost a small fortune. Imo they're more like artwork compared to anything a serious player would use as their match darts. But keep in mind, I'm also trying to break a long standing myth here in the USA that you need $100 to play well. This has gone on for decades here. Players swear up and down that the more you spend the "better" the darts are. Honest to god, if I showed some of these older players a set of awesome 90% tungsten $25 Designa darts they'd just say something like "cheap Chinese crap". Meanwhile they're playing with basic knurled darts that cost an unreal $120+ and think they have the best darts on ever made. It's INSANE here. But yeah, there's absolutely nothing wrong with buying expensive darts at all. It's always nice to have something flashy in the collection. As long as a player understands that spending more money doesn't equal a better player.
Worldwide; Another great review. My favorite darts are the straight barreled multi ring darts; they just fly better for me. Thanks and keep the reviews rolling.
Oh wow great video. Absolutely love the look of these darts. There nice looking set. Id love to get me a set of those. Just need a simple basic set of darts. Nothing fancy. Great vid
As you said, you don’t need fancy pants (paraphrasing) machining just a tried and tested shaped barrel. Sometimes all it takes is a change in shaped flight or length of stem/shaft to vastly improve your throw. A nice set of darts, enjoyed the review Great stuff WWD 👍🏻
I might put a quick video together next week. Hell of a deal on them. I got them at Double Tops and think they were 39 cents a set before the discount code (fb2021). They're as nice as anything else on the market imo
@@WorldwideDarts being Australian they cost me $1.30 AUD per set...good value as I have a seamless nosecone on a set of Johnny Clayton darts.. I get ATLEAST a month out if a set of flights so perfect value for money for my set up...
Great review as always. This dart is rather basic for me and I have many barrels that are similar. I do prefer multi rings that are a bit wider. Interesting how the darts changed flight considerably when you put on the bullets. I know there is far less drag with the bullets. Nice 180 as always.
my favorite type of barrel. great review as always. Massachusetts ya say, maybe i need to go knocking on doors (not that i know anyone that plays around here). i’m trying to find out where the Minute Man League plays out of, but i never get a response.
I'm thinking of taking up darts at the age of (nearly!) 25! Always been a fan having grown up watching the BDO Worlds and now really getting in to following the PDC events. Loving your channel to get an idea of what makes a good dart. Was wondering though- have you made the trip to the UK to go to a darts event?
Thanks for the comment Callum. No, I've never made it to the UK to watch an event but I've been fortunate to be around long enough that I was able to play against a lot of them back in the day. In the mid to late 1990's all the top professionals used to come over here to the states to play in our events. So I was able to play against Bob Anderson, John Part, Paul Lim, Shayne Burgess, Roland Scholten and many others. As well as getting to hang out with Phil Taylor, Dennis Priestley, Rod Harrington and had the privilege of riding in the elevator with Eric Bristow and Alan Warriner.
@@WorldwideDarts so many legendary players there! Good to see that the USA has a growing darts fan base and also the PDC have an event at Madison Sq Gardens in NYC which looks amazing. Loving your channel keep the videos coming! 👍🏻🎯
If anyone knows how old these are please let me know. I saw a Mardle pixel grip review from Nutzjob that was 6-7 years old. I only guessed with these things. There's no date on the box anywhere
No, those things are horrendous imo. If you really want to protect your flights get some Trident nose cones or specialty points. That 100% fixes the issue of your flights getting beat. I also think that flight protectors look like crap and they really don't do much to be fair. Maybe hold the flights open but that's easy enough to do without having to use them. You'd also be hard pressed to find a professional player using them. Gimmick imo

I had the harrows version one set of darts I regret selling
Yeah, that was a nice set for sure. Hard as hell to find nowadays too.
Glad you liked them brother, gave another set to my son for him to hopefully get in to darts the way I have

Really sweet. Wish the new Legend Darts version had a black coated tip as well. The “Silica” version is a beaut!
The silica legend dart version is in my top 3 most favorite barrel. Like them so much I have 4 sets! (3 silica 1 natural)
Yeah, I've always liked those darts a lot. All 4 of them.

Great stuff WWD 👍🏻
Cheers Smiffy! 👍🏻
triple 20, go on then ...... bullseye ! love him announcing
I love victory standard flights. I use the red and orange held in with the red dragon nitrotech Shafts …love to see a quick review of the flights

Let's make a deal 😁
These are much older, from 2008-2009 i think. Great find 💪
I saw that the pixel grip ones came out about 6 years ago based on a TH-cam review. These are that much older? I just guessed 😂
Love the review, not my type of dart, but they look nice and simple. Nothing complicated about them, nice 180 👍🏼🎯
Thanks 👍
Hey WW have you noticed recent Darts Corner orders shipping from Germany? And damn it now I’m going to need a set of those in Silica!
Yep. My order just showed up a couple days ago
Yestrday i was playing with 2 friends for 7 hours 😄🎯 on lowen dart mascine in bar 👌
Simple but effective dart, the victory flights are great value and durablep
I still have the unicorn world champion Raymond van Barneveld new in the box 21 gram!!

My favorite crazy player
do you have any video of your throw prior to dartitis? just wondering if going through that changed anything.
There's video that exist but I have no idea how to get it or where it might be. Dartitis hit back in 99. A lot changed
Do you ever use flight protectors? And if not, is it because it has an effect on the dart or just because there not expensive to change?

Looks like Eric Bristow darts.
