Well done. You make it look really easy. You caught a ton of fish. That ice needs to be twice as thick for me to get out there though. I'll likely wait until mid January before I start getting out on the ice. Be safe out there. Have a great day.
Thanks for watching! I feel good on early ice as thin as 2-3", if it's clear and below freezing, but I get it. I've popped a leg through a crusty shell (submerged spring) right next to 6" of solid ice before. Some places can't be trusted.
Indeed a great day. Smooth sounds....haha. You caught many much bigger than we got down by the dam. No need to carry all the extra weight when you don't need to.
Considering the work involved hiking back to my car through the deep snow, I'm really glad I didn't have a sled with a bunch of gear to pull. My legs were burning for a few days after that.
I'm so glad I came across your video! I've been so impatiently waiting for the temperature to drop so Strawberry would finally freeze but it's 48 degrees here! Wondering if there was any frozen water elsewhere, now I know. Plus I've really been wanting to pull out some tigers but wasn't sure where to go. Now I know where they are. Thanks for your video and your recommendations. Nice work on the ice!
Nobody in particular.😆 I've seen a bunch of videos near the dam, and the average catches have been smaller than what I know to be in there. Plus, my own experiences near the dam are similar. (Edit: TBH - I didn't notice your video until just now. I only saw your shorts coming through. Will watch today.!😬)
I was up here last Saturday. Caught my new PB splake. Came back the next day, and the fishing was dead slow. Guess I used up all my luck on that big splake 😅
@DanHickman1996 It's widely known as either. It's called Huntington on the stocking reports, and the other Huntington Reservoir is called Huntington North.
Ice fishing in Utah looks like so much fun! Great day! Who needs the dam dinks! Thise splake are awesome!
Awesome ice fishing adventure!

Strawberry is icing up in the backs of the bays. There should be fishable ice in some areas by next weekend.
Thanks for Watching!
You pulled out some good ones 👍
You calling me out on my dinks Bro? Haha 😂 You did get into consistent bigger fish. Great day 👍

Looks like a blast.what minnow lure were you using?
3" smelt (Gulp!) on a 1/16oz jig head.
The other rod on the jaw jacker had an orange Shrimpo tipped with a salad shrimp.
Good job!
Thanks!
What action is your full-size pole ?
Medium action - Berkeley Cherrywood. Love it for jigging.
Mammoth, not Huntington
