The Roofnest Falcon is one of the easiest tents you’ll ever set up

Over the past few years, I've been fortunate enough to travel, camp, and film all around the World. Usually, I sleep inside a camper van or in a tent on the ground, but this week Roofnest offered up a Falcon Rooftop tent, and because it's fall in Michigan, I knew exactly where to go. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Northern Michigan.

at about 4:55 you show your storage mesh and say that the problem is that if you put something in it, things just roll down to the bottom and slip out. It seems like yours is old style, and they have since improved on the design. In more recent posts for the same model tent, that mesh is doubled - so that you sandwich items "in" the mesh. that way nothing escapes out the bottom. diameters look the same.

It's pretty easy installation. Need a friend to help you lift it up on the rack, but easy install.

I don't think you'd have a problem but if you want more room check out the xl or roofnest condor xl

They should make it thicker like a Sparrow so people can leave pillows, latter etc in it. The lower profile won’t save you any $ in gas but takes away space in your vehicle. When it rains you’ll have to take all blankets and pillows to it and get it wet. The more I watch these videos to decide what rtt to get the more I lean toward keep sleeping in the topper. Great video!

If you have a truck, I'd definitely do a topper instead. These things really only fit 2 adults comfortably, so you're limited to 2, maybe 2.5. I can just throw most of my stuff in the back seat of my truck if it's just the wife and me. I have a crew cab and the rear seats fold up for a nice flat surface for coolers and back packs, etc. No need for setup, if i need to move my vehicle, I just get out and drive. best of all, I save $4k, and a multifunctional topper that I can use even when I am not sleeping in it.

Nice review. I have 3 questions. 1. Will your vehicle fit in a standard garage with the tent mounted on the roof? 2. How is the wind noise when driving down the highway? And 3. Does the tent interfere with radio reception from your shark fin roof antennae? I have satellite radio that I pay monthly for and I don't want to lose it. Thank you very much.

Hey, Ricardo glad you liked the video.
1. I wasn't able to fit this in my own garage as it's a bit smaller than usual. On top of the Kia Telluride, it would need over 6'5" ft of clearance.
2. The Telluride was equipped with a moonroof but the wind noise never felt annoying. I'm not saying it's dead silent but it's less than I expected because of the flat design when fully compact.
3. Great Question about the Satellite radio. I never tested it as I only listened to music through Apple Car Play.
