Billy Carter is "light drinker." The moment it gets light out, Billy starts drinking- LOL. I can't believe Mr. Dawson got away with that quip. Hilarious.
Neat episode, kinda wish Richard woulda alluded more to them being related as the show went on but nonetheless. Thanks for posting. As a sidenote too, in this episode it was possible to win in 2 questions in this episode if taken all the way.....woulda been interesting to see that happen, and how they'd have handled that (I assume breaking up fast money maybe? like the current version has done if the game was swept in 3 before), also wonder how often that woulda been possible in the first 2 and a half years...before going to 300, makes for an interesting scenario to be sure.
Oh my gosh!!!! I cannot believe that he got away with the joke about Billy Carter and his "light" drinking. In fairness, Billy was only a public figure because of the one term presidency of his brother at the time. That joke would have been better directed at Senator Ted Kennedy. Nonetheless, it was still hilarious.
Until 1979, only 200 points was required to win the game. It later got bumped to 400 points in 1984, but returned to 300 after Ray Combs' version started.

The Fraley girls - Yowsa! =)
3:21-3:30- LOL-
Richard Dawson was the king.
Now I see why they only played to 200 points. They didn't even start playing the game until about 7 minutes into the show.
Whare the odds two familes that know each other against each other
Max was a contestant on "The Joker's Wild" in 1978.
This episode had its own "penguins" moment. The character's name was Pearl Bodine, not Pearl Clampett.
The ladies back then were absolute dolls.
Women were so classy and feminine back then

Wait a second, don't you need 300 points to win and go to fast money? They only got 294!
