Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Some of them probably did use the spa services, increasing their business

@@FishAnvil Eventually the more people who come to the spa, the more likely they gonna be using the services.
And anyone who actually wants those services is going to see that group of suspicious oddballs and head somewhere else, maybe for good.
This is what Jimmy wanted all show long. Clients who call him. Now they’re scattered all over his office.

Wow, i totally missed that hes the guy from BB. Does it mean that instead of facing consequences for whatever he did, Saul's "get out of jail free card" led him to become a drug addict?
@@gigabilly1160 yes, the whole premise of the show is human decadence. That's why the cop that got hit by Huell says to Jimmy to please stop encouraging criminals to... Well, commit crimes
people love to take credit for the fun ones!
Goes to show how big the Salamanca’s were, anyone who associated with them and survived earned some credibility by criminals.
right?? that's expected about people knows as the cartel's muscles. I don't think there's any other scenes in the show that's highlighted this (of course excluding the enforcement's POV)
You can see how shocked/disappointed Saul look when the guy mentioned Lalo

Ironically, the sleazy office location probably made Saul even more legit in the eyes of the underworld.
When I rewatched the series, I saw Saul completely differently as I then knew what he did to Howard.

Lalo kinda made Saul career 😅
I took a moment to like this comment because TH-cam put a "Translate to English" link directly beneath it.
Isn’t Lalo the reason he has the Saul personality?
@@ternence8818i thought it was because of Chuck
@@ternence8818yes and yes Saul always had that personality since Marco he just never wanted to be that because he looked up to Chuck but after their fall out, he just fully embraced it. Lalo didn’t make Saul but he did make Saul successful after he represented him

That guy doesn’t look like the same Spooch from Breaking Bad
That’s the point. Saul saved him from the consequences of his actions and it eventually cost him his life.
There's a Method behind that.
Because he was 13 years older when they shot this scene, despite it being a prequel.
This was unfortunately the last time we saw the beautiful Mrs. Nguyen.
this is the exact moment when cucumber water became for customers only
Fun fact. The guy who asks Saul is he Salamancas guy is the same character who hits hard times gets his head crushed by the atm in breaking bad.
Lalo learns about it and tells Saul - you owe me a cut.
and remember, Ken Tanaka loves you.
I just noticed- isn’t it kind of weird for Jimmy to openly acknowledge in front of a ton of people that he’s “Salamanca’s guy?” Seems almost out of character- what if one of these guys just so happened to be a rat? Also, in the eyes of the law, Saul is Jorge DeGuzman’s lawyer. Not Eduardo Salamanca’s. I feel like Jimmy is a savvy enough lawyer to not verbally acknowledge the fact he’s working for a notorious member of the Mexican cartel in a public joint.
It's impossible to prove he knew who Lalo was while representing him. He could always claim he only figured it out after Lalo was bailed out. Or that he was made to represent him under durres (actually true). Likely the same defense if they came after him he literally called him Lalo in front of the prosecuter.
He could just say "I didn't know what they were on about, but they were potential clients so I lied" This doesn't prove anything.
Nobody is going to sue him for false advertisement for saying that
It's Lalo time
Bedda call saul
I’d love to see a series going deeper into Mike Ermanthraut’s life
Highly likely already a talk about it.
Corrupt police theme will have many stuff to tell. Its a gold mine. Telling how Ehrmantraut become the man he is. Those skill set of his isn't the usual behind the desk police type.
Might a series with setting in early 80 and 90. Crime investigation genre. Drama style like BB and BCS. Off course with a younger actor. Its gonna be fun to see a younger version of him metamorph into that Mike we saw.
Companies today will have to play the safe bet. Breaking Bad Universe is simply a safe place for them to bet their money.
You're in luck as there is such a show - It's called Better Call Saul lol
Not sure the character could hold a series on his own.
SaI Gon sandwiches? Another foreshadow maybe
Sometimes I find it hard to believe that he was Jimmy Mcgill before he said It's all good man

Salamancas guy😂
And he almost died for this 😂
So it was not worth it despite all the money!
lalo & Saul have such an interesting business deal going on… when he says “Salamanca’s guy” Saul kind of flinches… even tho saul is always scheming he is still trying to be good in his own way… I don’t think lalo is evil, but he is sort of saul’s introduction to the Real “criminal underworld” 💰🧐
What? Lalo is absolutely evil, he murders an innocent civilian without flinching. Lalo is a charismatic psychopath
@@ZamanduI don’t think psychopaths exist. I see Lalo as being a better person than, say, walter white… because Lalo was born into a criminal lifestyle instead of entering into it on purpose.. his outlook in life and behaviors were probably shaped by how he was raised
@@claracedar that changes nothing on the fact of him being the ruthless monster
@@claracedar whether or not you think psychopaths (or sociopaths) exist doesn't change the fact that they do exist, and they love to prey on gullible people like yourself who would so willingly invite them in if they fancied to make you a target.

Why is the channel logo red and yellow rather than green for breaking bad and yellow for better call Saul?
Isn't that a lot of work for 1 guy to do?
Honestly, this should've been the opening for Season 5. We should've gotten 1-2 full seasons of him in full Saul Goodman mode, which is something viewers like me wanted since 2014 . . . In retrospect, I think Lalo's storyline went on for an entire season too long, and I honestly would've rather Casper killed him in Germany so Gustavo literally just thinks Lalo is out there lurking-waiting to strike like a viper which would partly explain his insanely tight security apparatus in BB and we wouldn't have had that convoluted nonsense where Lalo misses him from point blank range when he cuts the power. He didn't do a whole lot in the final season either, if not what I said I'd have preferred he just die at his Hacienda in Mexico. That went on too long, and the games with Howard went on too long IMO.
Sal Gon Sandwich anymore notice it?
that's Sai gon. Sai gon is the biggest city in Vietnam and the nail spa own by Vietnamses lady also
How did Saul get his office?
He was in the nail salon for a few years. Towards the end of BCS he gets the office we see in breaking bad
