Robbo was just as bad, if not worse. Had already convicted al the accused based on allegations.
The way this program and Caro in particular has willingly accepted and prompted the “city hall” version of events is an absolute disgrace.
Carro re-writing and twisting her conversation with Leigh Mathews (it is on tape). She is so skilled at using rhetoric to alter events.
I am so glad Leigh called her out. Putting words in Clarkson's mouth was exactly what she was doing.

Not about money my arse, $50k each wasn't enough money for them. Do they have proof? Recordings or anything that is not a he said/she said situation. These two blokes whether they did wrong or not have been hung, drawn and quartered by the media.

agreed. i think theres no place for racism in sport, or in society, and its disgusting if anything racist has taken place. however, if theres no proof, how do we actually know what happened? im no fan of clarko, and have no vested interest here (essendon supporter, hating hawthorn is part of our dna lol) but the hawthorn club may have done the wrong thing, or may not. if theres no recording of something racist being said or done, like a racist comment from someone that is then laughed about and made out to be hilarious by non indigenous participants laughing or carrying on at expense of a first nations person, this crosses a serious line, and should be called out. its not ok. its not acceptable. its not funny. it wont be tolerated.
but if theres no such evidence, how does hawthorn defend itself? cant provide evidence that nothing happened whether nothing actually did happen. if something did happen, i really hope the hawks can become a leader here in anti racism, by putting their hand up and saying yes, this happened. it shouldnt have. we apologise. we will do better, and this is how we are going to do it, because we dont stand for this as a club (hawks always referred to themselves as a family club for memory? hope they stick to that value system).
the mental wellbeing of all involved needs to be taken into account, and handled respectfully, innocent or guilty, no one wants to see anyone attempt to take their life over this (remember hirdy??) if the scrutiny becomes unbearable.
as a side note, i have no love for sam mitchell, but despite all the off field distraction around the club, he has made the team fire, they seem more galvanised and will certainly cause some headaches for finals contenders in the back end of the season. i hope for their sake, much as i love seeing the hawks at the bum end of the ladder, i hope they can block out the external noise and focus on their footy, and keep the competition interesting. they will cause some damage, and have a say in who plays in september, i have no doubt about it.
They should have offered them nothing. Clarkson and Fagan should be telling Rioli to fk off. What a low money grabbing act, shameful.

Finally its going to the courts were the accusers will have to prove their claims and the accused will also be able to state their side and all sides will be known publicly. I have disliked this whole thing from the start where the accused were named and shamed whilst those throwing out the claims were afforded anonymity. I dont support the hawks or the Lions but Clarko and Fagan have had their reputations damaged in the public eye before they have been allowed to publicly state their side, nor have there been anything proven against them. (yet).
They have to prove it on the balance of probabilities on the evidence. In the interim I would suggest you button up champ. By the way the media wont be allowed to report any issue relating to litigation? You are kidding. This would constitute the most authoritarian censorship regime in the world. Maybe that is how Kennett wants it.

@@TAW856 Champ you made the absurd claim that defendants (they are not the accused as it is not a criminal jurisdiction) should not be named in a civil matter. This would change the normal practise in litigation. So, you want employers, discriminators and racists to have their names and information supressed before civil trials. Sounds like a coward's defence champ. And believe me I am not your mate. And I never jog. Perhaps you should slip on the joggers and head off to a library and read a book or two before making dumb comments.
Let the defense lawyers cross examine the accusers in a real court room in front of a real judge and let’s go from there

You don't have to care if you don't want to. Anyone is free to report racism or discrimination. Your allowed to report anything you want. There is no law against it. In actual fact you should report it. And let the governing bodies Investigate.

I’m not a First Nations person, but the casual racism in these comments is disgusting. Clarko has said homophobic and abusive comments directed at multiple groups in just this year alone. How is it unreasonable to suspect he could have done and said racist comments and actions before? Show some empathy for the victims. No one deserves to be prejudiced for playing a sport they love based on the colour of their skin. Not to mention it was created by First Nations people. Who would have the nerve to purger themselves for a quick bit of cash, knowingly going up against the biggest sporting corporation in the country.

They want a court hearing as Clarko said earlier this week. So far the only thing we've heard are supposed allegations by their accusers, but we have no idea how much of that is the truth. It could all be pack of lies concocted between them for a pay day. A panel of Indigenous people with legal qualifications has fully exonerated the accused, so who are you to question that? You only think you know something based on what you've read of social media. You are clearly the one not equipped to make an informed opinion because you're effectively saying that Indigenous panel got it wrong without knowing anything.

That's true. But if this determined to be false accusations, then they should all be named and shamed.

Mathews should shut his gob. He has no expertise in discrimination law. If he did, he would know that failing to act can constitute discrimination. Mathews one brush with the law was a cowardly assault behind the play. No expertise and no credibility.
